Catch Them Before They All Fall Down
53"If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you". Pictures tell more of a story then words could ever attempt to when describing nature's beauty. Now I am not much of a poetic writer so I will just allow my pictures that I took on this October day.
It is so beautiful on this mountain that I live on in this part of West Virginia. They don't call it West By God for nothing. I am so fortunate to be here and so very grateful. I could be living in the city somewhere, but then again I look for the beauty around me and it somehow does show itself to me. I don't think it would matter where I lived. Just this time I would love to share my little piece of heaven with all of you out there. The pictures are large here, but to get the full effect they would have to fill your whole screen. It is a great pleasure for me to try and fill your senses with the surroundings and the events that are happening in this one small moment of time. To be able to smell the rain, to feel it pelt down on your skin and to experience the cleansing effect is just amazing. When the sun finally shows through and hits your wet skin and you can feel the warmth, now that is simply an amazing experience to have and hold onto. I hope that I have given you a piece of my heaven to hold onto and to share with others.
The first one was when the rain was just beginning to let up. It was raining quite hard a few moments just before I took this picture. The following pictures are the time lapse within a half hour period. Nature/GOD/The Universe sure has some extraordinary moments in an ordinary span of time. We only have to open our minds and our eyes to see and take the time to enjoy every single moment.
The leaves in my area do not stay on the trees that long. When it rains as heavy as it did prior to taking these pictures you have to Catch Them Before They Fall.

Thank You. I was hoping to get hat I was seeing on the photo but it didn't come out. The rain drops were dripping off the trees and looked like crystals.
LG - Very enjoyable pix. Gus
Thanks Gus. Hey did you get to read my hub that I had to re-do---The Spaghetti Squash one? It's all there now!!
I lived in northern new england most of my life. These scenes look like home to me.
The trees, the colors, the mountains in the distance are all so similar to connecticut.
Thank you for sharing.
The desert of new mexico has a beauty of a very different kind in most areas.
When you spend most of your life in one environment, it can be hard to feel as much a part of a new one. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised when I found that walking through some of the isolated areas in more northerly corners of the state is not very different from some of the places I frequented in connecticut.
I miss the greenness of the deep forests there and the incredible color of the autumn foliage. It is truly amazing, standing in two feet of fresh snow, at 2AM, in the middle of a frozen lake, surrounded by forest covered old mountains.
By the way, I hope your dad is doing well.
I think you might find this interesting.

I know we're not supposed to be self-promoting but this is an old one.
I think that self-promoting rule is just that a rule and I think it is stupid. Spreading knowledge and cheer and those things that touch hearts are not self-promoting. They are sharing. So share away.
I am glad that I gave you a bit of heaven tht you had missed. When and if it snows I will make a new hub out of that, just for you my friend. Now I will go to your hub.
My thanks m'Lady. Your friendship is a treasured gift.
Hi. I like the pictures. It's been a long while since I've actually been in that kind of nature. I'm starting to miss my parents' home. We have a garden and lots of trees. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by my woods Chin Chin.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos, nothing can beat nature!
itakins, Nothing is better to know that it brings joy to another's heart and soul. Thanks for stopping by and you comment.
You are blessed to have such beauty close. Not so though when the winter storms blow through and freeze ice/snow to everything.
Thanks for becoming my fan and I will pic pointers from reading and viewing your wonderful hubs if that is ok with ya.
Blessings to all the good West by God folks up there!
Stay warm,
Artin
Artin2010, Tis just a beatiful in the winter when it shows and ices as is the rest of the year. I just don't like all the grey in the winter months and the cold. Though Autumn is beautiful with all her colors and Winter with the silencing of the murmurs with the blanket of snow, Spring is my favorite time of the year. I have hubs about my gardens you may wish to take a look at.
I love fall and the beautiful colors. Love the smell of fall in the woods too. Thanks for sharing pix of your fabulous view.
Delores. Thanks for stopping by and I am glad that you like it.
