That darn cat!

I have friends that come in the form of cats and ducks. The ducks I dont mind. Theyre adorable, and they love people. They live in my backyard. Dont ask me why when the river is just down the road.

The cats I could do without. There are 4 of them. 2 with homes near me and 2 I have no idea if they even have homes. They are forever on my front porch when I open the door. If I open the back door, there they are, like evil children from a Steven King novel. They fight with each at all hours of the night, eerily sounding like wild banshees.

Im on the bottom floor and when I went to bed last night, window open, the room smelled of cat spray. Obviously there is a cat problem here.

Ive already been notified by management that I *have* cats and that if I didnt pay a deposit I would be given a 72 hour notice to move. I had to reason with them that they are not mine. Since then, 2 other neighbors I know have been blamed for the same cats. Its getting ridiculous. Do I call animal services and have them pick them up or just go about my life and smell cat pee everytime I open my windows?

Now the ducks.....funny how no one has been blamed for having THEM as pets. I wonder what the pet deposit for those would be.

Your ducks are so cute!!

I would call animal control to trap the cats. Don't get me wrong I love cats I have four. I have four because someone dumped two cats off on us and they were living in our barn of course I had to feed them. They were thin and straving. Cats can be a problem with the spraying.

I LOVE the ducks. They just sit out back and go "wack wack!" begging me to feed them something. The boy talks to me. No, Im not crazy, he looks at me and his wee little mouth goes "munch munch", until I feed them. He and his wife have been together since I moved here, almost 5 years ago. They are the sweetest things.
