Frigidity a sexual problem, it is a woman's lack of interest or inability to feel pleasure during sexual intercourse. Signs of frigidity include feelings of shame, fear about sexual matters, and painful spasm during coitus, complete emotional detachment during intercourse, but the absence of a dramatic orgasmic climax in intercourse does not of itself denote frigidity. Most woman experience a lack of desire for intercourse when she is tired, worried, depressed, afraid of pregnancy, and upset at her partner, this occasional lack of interest is normal and does not constitute habitual frigidity. The more sexually experienced a woman is, the less likely she is to be frigid. Studies have also found that the more enlightened a woman is, the less likely she is to suffer from frigidity.

Causes of Frigidity:

a. Psychological. Psychological problems such as a trauma in childhood and marital problems are the usual causes of frigidity. Habitual frigidity is usually a symptom of a neurosis due to such determinants as unconscious ties to childhood love objects, unconscious homosexuality, and unconscious fear of rejection or punishment for sexual activities. The interpersonal maturity of both sexual partners is important factor in a woman's frigidity or lack of it.

Treatment: If the problem is an emotional one, brief counseling and psychoanalysis may be helpful.

b. Physical and Hormonal. Lack of vaginal lubrication or an incorrect diet may also contribute

Treatment:

  • Check with a doctor to see if there isn't any organic interference.
  • Taking ginseng, royal jelly and pollen is recommended for frigidity since they are powerful aphrodisiacs and energizers, and these elements also contain a series of hormones which are necessary for the sexual process.
  • It is very important also take vitamin E and minerals because zinc and vitamin E are essential for the correct functioning of the sexual glands in women as well as in men.
  • Adding olive oil, avocados and nuts to the diet is recommended for women because these will help increase vaginal lubrication.

ive researched this a vast amount having been this way for over two years. i miss the way i was before now after reading a book ""sexual surrender in women by Benjamin Morse" it helped me more than any tablets!Dr,sex aid or even opperation!! it made me realise that without properly being repected loved and tendered in a relationship you arnt able to function...though ive not yet entered into another relationship yet i will when it feels right, i felt a sensation return in my body while reading because it released a negative feeling that was replaced with a positive attitude within me. i rearly feel i will get back 2 how i was instead of being totaly incomplete n depressed.
