Tips Needed to Avoid Car Accident
68Avoiding Auto Accident
This hub “Auto Accident- How to Avoid Car Accident” is meant for readers and viewers the strategies that are needed for them to guide against car accident.
The increasing rate of car accidents on highways calls for concern. While this sad development might be a big business opportunity for some companies, e.g insurance companies, towing vehicles equipments e.t.c, we need to enlighten people on measures to reduce the rate of car accident incidence.
Certain things happen in life that you don’t have control on, and some things also happen in life whereby you have control on, even before they happened.
There are two factors that causes Auto accident:
1) Uncontrollable Factors to auto accident
2) Controllable factors to auto accident
Uncontrollable Factors
There are some issues that are out of your control. As a driver or the owner of your automobile or car, some certain development happens that you can’t control.
Uncontrollable factors, simply refers to car accident caused on you, but not by you. It’s majorly caused by a second or third party.
Example includes the following:
A truck or car whose break had failed, coming unexpectedly in your direction; a truck or trailer whose driver lost control and who heads in your direction.
To me the two major ways to avoid automobile or car accidents caused by this are:
1) By being vigilant and be focused anytime you are driving.
2) By Prayer- Always pray against unforeseeable car disaster.
Controllable Factors
I will categorize this as “negligence of due diligence”. Some couple of month’s back, I and a friend rushed down for an important meeting, somewhere on Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. On our way coming back after the meeting, just before stepping on the third mainland bridge, the front tire suddenly went off. If not that we were not speeding, that day could have been my last on earth. We only sustained minor injuries by colliding with some cars.
Now, in the first place, what caused the accident?
My friend now remembered that he took the car to a mechanic workshop the evening before our trip. Unfortunately, the mechanic did not tighten the car tire very firmly. We confirmed this from the mechanic after the incidence.
But who will I blame? Of course, it’s my friend, because he failed to carry out due diligence on the car before venturing out on the morning of that day.
This and many cases are the controllable factors that are often neglected. Before going out, check your car very well. Check the Car wheels and tire, check the engine oil, check the brake pad e.t.c. Is the brake pad still good?
If you dedicate about 10-15 minutes on checking your car every morning, then you have successfully conquer the controllable factors to car and auto accidents.
