Causes of Excessive Sweating--Stress, Anxiety, and Negative Emotion

What If I Told You That The Key To Eliminate Excessive Armpit Sweat Is Your Ability To Eliminate Stress?

You may not believe me. But you should.

For a majority of hyperhidrosis sufferers, stress and anxiety play a BIG role in their excessive perspiration.

It's a is biological fact that less stress = less underarm perspiration.

It's important for you to understand how reducing your stress will lead to less underarm sweating. Once you understand the causes of armpit sweat and HH, our system will make a lot more sense to you. You'll believe in it and it'll work!

Time For a Dose of Nerd Talk (Don't Skip!)

The Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) controls the smooth muscle in your blood vessel walls. It therefore controls the diameter (size) of the blood vessels. Stress increases the activity of the SNS.

Impulses from the SNS go to a part of your brain called the medula. This increases the secretion of two chemicals in the brain, epinephrine and norepinephrine. These chemicals are responsible for supplementing prolonged responses that eventually lead to a fight or flight reaction.

This causes the smooth muscles to constrict, forcing blood back to the heart, which increases your heart rate. This should be starting to make some sense. Blood is also forced back to the brain causing your face to feel hot.

Your pupils dilate and sugar levels in the body increase. This triggers your SNS to trigger underarm sweat glands to become overactive (release the juice).

And thus the causes of excessive sweating.

Compare that with a person in a relaxed state. Their body's processes are completely different.

When relaxed, the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) takes over. The SNS takes this as it's cue to go on a coffee break. Your muscles relax and blood vessels dilate (open).

This allows blood to flow freely to the peripheral blood vessels and your circulation improves. Meanwhile, heartrate and blood pressure go back down, too.

Now your body is back in a state called homeostasis. Homeostasis is a state of psychophysiological equilibrium obtained when tension is minimized. For example, when asleep, you are at homeostasis.

Most excessive armpit sweat and hyperhidrosis stops during sleep!

The key to using this new knowledge to stop underarm perspiration is to realize that the SNS and the PNS can't operate simultaneously. You can train yourself to pop out of the SNS and into the PNS.

Another Huge Reason Stress Sucks For Sweaters

Now that you have hyperhidrosis, you tend to get stressed out about it. You feel anxious in social situations. Don't want anyone to see the sweat, etc.

You are trapped in a vicous, never ending cycle.

You get stressed, you start sweating. The sweat pisses you off or upsets you and you get more stressed. This second round of stress increases sweat levels--you sweat more. You get more stressed...

The cycle perpetuates itself. It never ends. It's the most potent of the causes of excessive sweating.

Get it?

Sweat causes stress. Stress induces sweat. Stressing about sweat while being stressed and sweating...Well, no wonder why you're sweating!

So the $-million dollar-$ question is...

How can we reduce our stress levels even when we're stressing about sweat?

The answer to that question is the essence of Step 3 in our method. It's all about 'Your Min:D.' The day you begin learning to access your SNS is the day you eliminate excessive armpit sweat.

How Can I Reduce Stress? There's a bunch of ways.

* Exercise * Getting a message * Relaxation/meditation * Hypnosis * Spending time with loved ones * Seeing a counselor * Acupuncture * Yoga

Just to name a few.
