A one hour flight South of Miami, named for the species of crocodiles that once inhabited their shores, and a British Oversees Territory, located on the Caymen Trench, the deepest part of the Caribbean Sea, are Grand Caymen, Caymen Brac, and Little Caymen, the three amigos that make up the world famous dive destination of the Caymen Islands.

Now protected by the National Trust of Caymen, the Mastic Trail winds tourists down a two-mile long island-traveling, Grand Caymen trail, providing easy excursions through palm savannahs, mangrove swamps, and old-growth tropical forests.
Want to hand feed stingrays squid? A boat trip to the North Sound sandbar in Stingray City, provides opportunities to snorkel and swim with these gentle sea creatures, who will eat squid right out of divers hands.
After feeding the stingrays, Boatswain's Beach is the destination to visit 16,000 sea turtles. This Grand Caymen marine park, and Caymen Turtle Farm, allows visitors to observe 600 pound adult turtles, or tiny hatchlings, or they can swim with the turtles in the Saltwater Snorkel Lagoon.
Rum Point Beach hammocks offer a lazy day laying out in the Caribbean sun. Seven Mile Beach remains the most popular beach location in the Caymen Islands, providing watersports and beautiful white sand, on a beach that lies a little about its name. In reality it is only 5-1/2 miles long, but who cares with all it has to offer visitors that come enjoy it.
There are plenty of ways to occupy time on the outyling island of Caymen Brac, the smallest of the three islands that compose the Caymen Islands. Hike nature trails through Parrot Reserve, tour Great Cave's rock formations, or go offshore and enjoy the reef-diving thrills on the Russian frigate, renamed the MV Captain Keith Tibbetts.
Caymen Kai Beach provides a New Orleans atmosphere and an annual Mardi Gras festival. Spotts Beach is off the beaten path, a quiet location away from the buzz of the crowd. Public Beach, on Grand Caymen Island, offers a playground area for children to enjoy, beach huts, and watersports.
Black Pearl, the world's second largest skate park, provides Skate Caymen, an eleven week celebration, beginning June 12, 2009, with the living legends of the skateboarding world putting on demonstrations and a skating camp.
Pirates Week, November 12-22, 2009, provides music, street dancers, costumes, games, food, and a "pirate invasion," an eleven-day festival with many free activities planned.
Caymen Airways Summer Splash Program allows one child to fly free with each paying adult on flights departing Miami, New York, and Tampa. Many hotels are offering pay for five nights and stay one night free specials.
The jewel in the Caymen Islands crown is the timy island of Little Caymen, especially for divers and snorkelers, because of Bloody Bay Wall. That is where the floor of the Caribbean Ocean drops off sharply, abruptly, and plunges to depths of more than 1000 feet.
The Caymen Islands are the "what's not to love about it" Caribbean vacation for the whole family to enjoy.
