Celebrating 2 Years Writing On Hubpages:

Whenever I publish an article, I will look at the status on my profile page. There are many readings describing brief information about me and my work on HubPages such as the number of articles that I have published so far, my "HubScore", and a time frame of when I joined this website. As I am typing this article, the "Joined" area says "2 years". This must mean that I have been here for two years. It is the first time that I have seen the word "years" instead of "months".

That is not a typo. I suppose I must now explain why this is the first time I have seen 2 years on the Joined tab and why I have not seen one year. And as I am remembering this, my memory appears to conflict with how long I have been on HubPages.

I remember joining on April of 2007. Back then I was still in high school, and had very little time for HubPages or anything else because being in high school and dealing with what I feel was an outdated curriculum that was difficult for me to learn as well as bullying problems was extremely exhausting.

One month later I (barely) graduated and shortly afterwards I "left home" and ended up living with some people in a terrible place. They told me everything that I wanted to hear. My computer was never connected to the internet at that time, and even worse by the end of the summer the computer became severely heat damaged and I had to replace the hard drive. I spent that summer applying to the local university pretty much by myself. I only found one scholarship type program during high school. I just couldn't find the time to look for other scholarships or anything while I was in high school. Going to college was not a priority in high school. Completing high school was. It took the entire summer but I ended up being enrolled. I was thinking I was not going to have any time for HubPages at all so I quit publishing. But 2 days before classes began a few students I had had numerous problems with who had not had plans to attend that campus and even had plans to move to other towns were all now enrolled at the same place I was, and perhaps since they never wanted me in any school at all they finally got their wish. I will probably never try to return to that college especially since many of my friends are attending other colleges which means that most of my friends are not there and almost all of my enemies are. So why would I want to go there ever again??

I ended up staying with some very nice people in a silly little town. It was not perfect. Of course no place is perfect if you have to live with other people. And most of the people in this town looked down on computers and the internet. I was able to repair my computer but ended spending whatever moments of time that I had to myself restoring the computer to how I had it before or perhaps even better than that. I also quit contributing to TVRage from June and didn't return there until November. There was just so much for me to do and unfortunately little time for many other things including HubPages.

On the other hand, things would slowly become much better for me. I found an opportunity to purchase a house for a reasonably low price that I thought was a once in a lifetime offer that I couldn't turn down. Sure it is almost 29 years old and it used to be pink both inside and outside but I am living by myself (and also with many pets) and I am now able to accomplish all of my goals. Around the same time that I was moving to my new house, I received an email from HubPages and then I was thinking of things to write about... One of my worst fears about HubPages is running out of ideas to write about, but now that I am sitting here thinking at the same time that I am typing, I can see that it is impossible for that to happen for probably several years!! Of course I also am a member of several other websites that I contribute to and write other articles of varying subjects (obviously I try to stick with the same subject to write and publish to HubPages) which I also can see that I have plenty of other things I just have to write about. You might have figured out that I am going to have a career in entertainment production.

I am probably not going to attend college on campus any time soon. After finding out what Distance Education is, I will probably just sign up for everything available one program at a time. I doubt my hard drive is going to crash again. (But I did misplace this article and I am having to retype it). I am also working on having more than one computer system, one for each major operating system. And once I have all of these desktops, scanners, printers, and other things, I would only get notebook computers after that. Any other extra additional desktops that I might end up having I will rebuild, upgrade, and sell to other people.

So how am I doing?? It would be good if I knew. If you are reading my articles I always welcome your thoughts and opinions. Feel free to comment on this article with the Comments Section and you can also send me messages through HubPages or Request a Hub... Of course it might be a coincidence that both you and myself have thought of the same article that you want me to write about, and I simply have not published one yet!! I guess this just about wraps up this article. I will recap my progress one year from now, and I will continue to write about whatever I can think of especially of what some people might have questions about.
