This hub was created to answer common cell phone battery questions. I tried to compile as many of the common questions as I could and try to answer them in as much detail as possible. The reason I have done this is because I have owned many cell phones like most of you and have had trouble finding answers to some of my questions. I thought it be a great idea to get a central location for all of these questions and answers. Hopefully your question will be answered on this page and if not I hope to add more questions as I go.

Can you buy new cell phone batteries?

This question is asked often by people who maybe just don't know the answer. This seems like common knowledge but for most people they may be on their first phone. The answer to this question is absolutely, you can purchase new replacement cellular phone batteries for your current cell phone. As much as these companies charge us to use their phones obviously they would want to sell accessories and other extras to their phones. You can even find discount cell phone batteries So let's move on.

Will cell phone batteries work in different cell phones?

Some cell phone batteries will fit in newer models of the same phone. So if you have an old phone lying around that had good a battery in it, you may want to try it out. Most of the time this will not work but it is possible. I have personally interchanged a few phone batteries in the past. Now as far as different brands of phones go I can almost with 100% surety say absolutely not. You will not be able to interchange any phone battery from a nokia to a Motorola

How long do cell phone batteries last?

This question gets asked a lot by the people who are continually having to replace their batteries. The answer to this question is that it depends. If you constantly charge your phone and leave it in your car during the heat of the day you may get one full year out of your battery. If you wait for your phone to completely discharge and then plug it in you will have better luck. Also make sure that you keep your phone out of the heat. If you do these two things you can extend the life of your battery up to a full year or two.

Where to buy cell phone batteries

There are plenty of places where you can get new cell phone batteries for your current phone. You can find them online at many of the cell phone battery websites. You can check eBay and sometimes even find them on craigslist to find cheap cell phone batteries. The easiest way to get your new battery as soon as possible is to actually go to your phone carrier's store. They will usually have a replacement battery for you there and can get you back up and running in no time. If you'd like to save money though, keeping an eye out online is definitely worth the wait.

Buy long lasting cell phone batteries

The answer to this question is kind of a combination of answers from the last two questions. Buying a battery, wherever you get it from that fits your phone, is going to work out just fine. If you use the steps outlined in the how long do cell phone batteries last section. So make sure to buy the correct battery for your phone and then follow the steps and you should be good. You should be able to get 2 to 3 years out of the life of your battery.

What to do about wet cell phone batteries

Most people who ask this question have obviously probably dropped their phone in water or jumped into a pool not knowing that the phone was in their pocket. The wet cell phone battery is really not your problem when you get to this point. The problem is usually the fact that the phone itself and the components are now wet and usually damaged beyond repair. My only advice on this is trying to let your phone dry out.
