Over the past few years I have had quite a few phones with various alarms. The flip phones have certain qualities I like but for an alarm the new MotoQ I bought wins hands down.

The flip phones had a calendar system, and an alarm feature but they weren't as loud and they didn't really have a "snooze" feature. They were pretty much it let you know once and if you missed it it would show up on the screen (not too helpful for me) I found it when I checked my phone hours later.

The MotoQ is a PDA type of device as well which gives you a lot more options for when there are really important things you have to do. Personally I like to set a couple different alarms to make sure I don't miss it.

The MotoQ allows you set an alarm for general use as well as daily calendar that really helps. You can set this alarm for a repetitive reminder which gives you a second chance if you miss the first one. These alarms allow you to set different tones and different volumes.

You also have to manually acknowledge that you have heard it and want to turn off the alarm before it will turn off.

I am sure most PDA type cell phones have these features which are the ones I would look for if I were you.
