Chaldean Numerology
72How did Chaldean Numerology give rise to the Numerology we know today?
Where was Chaldea and Why is it so important to Numerology?
Many people don't know that Chaldea is actually a place name, they throw the term 'Chaldean Numerology' around as if it's just another 'flavor' of Numerology. In this short article I'm going to give you an explanation of Chaldean Numerology that is both very readable and informative.
The Chaldean Empire was situated near the Persian Gulf, which we would presently call South Iraq/Kuwait, although of course back then it was identified as at the mouth of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
All past civilizations are famous for something, or have a well known trait we all know them by. The Maya have their temples, the Egyptians their Mummys and Ceremonial Burials (think Pyramids), the Chaldeans on the other hand are famous for their knowledge of the Stars and to a lesser degree 'magic'.
What is Chaldean Numerology based on?
The mouths of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers was better known as Ancient Babylon, which we now know as Iraq and this is where the Chaldeans practiced ancient numerology. The Numerology was based around Vibrations which were assigned numbers, 1 through 9. The number 9 is considered Holy to the Chaldeans and was not used in the standard Numerology Chart, however it was used if the sum of the letters (Vibrations) in someones name added together to give a 9.
The Chaldean Numerology system splits an individuals influences and spiritual aspects into two areas, the inner self and the outer self. They used single digits to represent the inner and double digits for the outer.
What does a chaldean numerology chart look like?
Now bear with me as I learn how to upload images :)
Where did the teachings of Chaldean Numerology go?
As you are probably aware Pythagoras is considered the Father of Numerology, however he gleaned much information from written texts from the Chaldean Empire as he setup his own system, which we now know as as modern day Numerology.
Numerology is a science that has been used for thousands of years and with the advent of the Internet more valuable resources are being put together on the subject.

They call it Chaldean numerology. Actually it goes back to Sumer and the Real Egyptians of Ancient Egypt. As for compound numbers, they have no real significance, other than to be reduced to the single sigma number. So-called Chaldean numerology works. The pythogorean system, (where every letter in the English alpahbet represents a letter is unscientific and doesn't work). You always reduce to the sigma code. The sigma code tells all. And all of this stupid stuff about the person is just more bullshit, related to self-aggrandizement. Chaldean numerology should be used to study the laws of nature, as opposed to studying some personal whim.
I'm one of two Chaldean Master Numerologists in the world...your article is only partially correct. Pythagoras proved "a" system of numbers was valid but no one questioned "which" system and he was betrayed by a student and named "Father" of Western Numerology which is not correct. We have rewritten history where it errored in Numbers-The Powerful Bridge Beyond: Chaldean Numerology for the New Millennium...our book provides the history of Numerology, where it started, all systems and why they are not accurate and then so much more.
Also, compound numbers are very critical in the reading of numbers because all three numbers are the total story vs. reducing the numbers down to a root number whereby you only get part of the story. A master knows which numbers to reduce down and which numbers not to reduce down so Arnell is incorrect in the statement made.
Chaldean Numerology is the only correct system of numbers and it's exact.

I bought my 1st book on Numerology in 1982, being completely new to it. It were Chaldean alphabet based.
I lost the book about a year later and until 2000, I wasn't able to find another book using the Chaldean alphabet. Only the Pythagorean. The inaccuracies that I found with the Pythagorean alphabet rebuild, were mostly contrary to what I'd learned in the year that I'd owned the Chaldean book.
In 2000 I found the Lea Thompson (Name?) book on Chaldean Numerology! I was happy as heck. As with the 1st book, the accuracies continued, using that alphabet. :)
Since then, I've been analyzing the alphabet further remembering that it were constructed originally, based on the sounds of each of the letters in the then alphabet. I've started pondering down a couple of different avenues in this regard:
1) As I've started posting on my new website that I'm devoting to the mystical areas, the vowels in our Western alphabet alone, have quite a few different sounds. With the original alphabet being based on the sounds of each vowel, we're going to have very different vibrations harmonically on what each of those vowels are sounding like in the word(s) that we're calculating FOR. (I have yet to start applying calculations to anything or anyone. Much more data needs to be compiled.)
2) Another harmonic relation that I started wondering about a couple of years ago, are the sounds of certain consonants. I.E. If we sound the following by themselves from our mouths, they produce their own town: L, M, N and R.
3) Further on that angle, I looked at the differences between other consonants. Some of the others have soft attacks whilst others have varying degrees of harsher attacks - all together, rather than actual tones.
4) Yet another angle - combinations of letters together are going to be causing completely different harmonic sets / vibrations than the letters are by themselves.
There're a mountain of study to be done in these areas, which I have already minorly started and shall continue to study for the rest of my life. I have a strong degree of faith in the original Chaldean alphabet and the wonderful people that came up with it - but I do believe it to be FAR from complete.
If anyone else would like to babble on this further, I don't yet have a blog or anything set up at my dedicated site, as I intend to do in the near future, for everyone to post at. I'm more than willing to babble away in these regards though with anyone else that wishes to type. :) I can be reached at:
rykhaard (AT) molindarius (DAUGHT) com
(My website is VERY early in construction and study OF all of it's contents, for further theories postings. Within the Numerology section is a VERY, VERY early Alpha version of Chaldean Numerology software that I started writing 2 years ago, and will be continueing again soon, as I just started my programming hobby again a few days ago. ;) ).
I was a student then numerologist of Pytho but always sensed something was missing. My clue was that the number five arose so incredibly frequent and yet was void of all my numbers. Hmmm then I discovered a way to locate the five by adding my birth month (by letters ) to the date and year and bingo a 5. But of course that system was non-existent in all numerology. Called it the hidden number and it certainlky proved great potential and insight.
And then I iscovered Chaldean. Alas! Aha a formula that appears more accurate.
My primary concern today remains with the legal name changes people have chosen, inluding myself, and how that seriously has affected one's life/destiny.
What is your thought and take on this? How can everyone be certain toselect a new better name OR what if the name (including the spelling) they selected they feel comfortable with and enjoy yet proves negative or in opposition to the birth name. Now what?
Hey Sunshine. :)
As far as I've read most everywhere as well as informed by author Leeya Brooke Thompson, the name that we've received at our birth, is always with us, whether we change our name or not, later in life.
Names that we change to later, seem to be more of an 'icing on the cake', where the 'cake' is our original birth name. The values for it will always be true to our core. Other names on top of it add to it, working with it and / or against it, depending on the numbers for your date of birth as well as other more minor influence #'s through our lives.
All of that is, as I've read and have been informed. I've barely studied many other people in my so far 26 years of interest in Numerology. That's taking a change now though, as I'm currently rewriting my Chaldean alphabet Numerology software, to coincide with my earlier studies this year that Leeya has also written a BOOK about, published last year on Phonetic Chaldean Numerology.
The software I'm writing is always available for FREE from my website that I've listed here. It's still in very early development but IS working (so far, without interpretation) for names and (currently) most of the birth date related #'s. :)
Take care,
Warmth and Peace,
Ryk
For anyone out there that may be curious about the newly developing Phonetic version of the Chaldean alphabet in Numerology, why not download software that I'm writing specifically for it? :)
2 free Phonetic Chaldean alphabet calculators are now at my site. :)
The small 1 is for Names only and the larger one which is still under development, though functional, is for names and birthdates.
Come on over and download either of them. :) The small one will always be free and large one at most, will only become 'Donation ware'.
No cookies; no spyware; no trickery and no commercialism. It's free.
Take care all,
Rych
Everyone has brought up many, many great questions about the accuracy and rules of Numerology and most importantly, how the name change can affect you. First of all let me state that Leeya Brooke Thompson changed the original Chaldean formula in her book by adding a soft/hard sounding "C" to the formula...the Chaldeans never had the use of two "Cs" and therefore, has drastically altered the original Chaldean formula.
For anyone who has had a name change using the Western Sytem, you would be shocked to know that your name change would be totally distorted using this formula. Think about it...the formula revolves around the alphabet using assigned numbers 1 through 9, repeating the numbers throughout the alphabet which is cold and impersonal. I have redone hundreds of name changes from the Western system to Chaldean for the truth and accuracy.
The name assigned on your Birth Certificate along with the birthdate form your foundational blueprint for life. It's like an owner's manual that comes complete with a blueprint of characterisics, traits, develoment areas, strengths and weaknesses. The name reveals the "personal" characteristics/traits while the "birthdate" reveals the development areas. You can change your name many times over and chances are, you will no doubt change your characteristics from your birth chart. Since Numerology is a mathematical formula, it's possible that changing your name under the right set of circumstances will not change your foundational blueprint at all or the name change can either be slightly different or drastically different. It takes nine years for the new name to resonate 100%. In the meantime, if your name changes are drastically different from your birth name, there will be internal power struggles that you will not know is a result of the change. If the name change is compatible or slightly different, then the foundational blueprint remains dormant after nine years and the new bluerpint becomes the dominant force like any overay influence on top of your foundational blueprint.
William Mykian and I have written Numbers-The Powerful Bridge Beyond: Chaldean Numerology for the New Millennium in which we provide the actual history of Numerology, the systems deemed to be Numerology and why they are not, and step-by-step instructions on how to calculate the Chaldean formulas. This is the book to purchase if you want accurate information on Chaldean Numerology. The book is based on well over 75 years of secrets from three masters who came together to write a book that could not have been written under any other circumstances. The purpose was to promote this ancient science and give it the spotlight it so rightly deserves while correct history where it errored.
For anyone still questionning the accuracy of Chaldean Numerology, all you would have to do is research the original formula based on sound syllables vs. letters and compare the Western to Chaldean systems noting the alphabet was 22 letters and now we have 26. You cannot add more to a forumula and expect accuracy. The Western System of Numbers has NEVER BEEN ACCURATE and we have proved that in our book with historical facts that we did not make up but rather researched for years.
I just wanted to pass this information on to anyone interested because there are so many people who come to me after the damage has been done by using a system that distorts the vibrational patterns of names. Since we have free will and choice, I would highly recommending doing research before embarking on generating charts and readings to insure that you are passing along accuracte information as it will have a profound impact on someone's life.

Greetings friends,The so-called "Chaldean" Numerology is not an ancient system of numerology but a (very) modern system which is inspired on the ancient qabalistic method of the "Aiq Bekar" (AIQ BKR) according to which the letters of the *HEBREW* alphabet correspond to the numbers from 1 to 9. So basically the "Chaldean" Numerology is an attempt to make our own alphabet fit into this originally hebrew system of Numerology. Also, the Aiq Bekar is nothing more than a hebrew version of the Pythagorian Numerology. And finally, the number 9 was never considered to be specially relevant in the Hebrew Aiq Bekar, and it was used like any other number. In this system, the correlation between letters and numbers was made in the following way (using the names of the hebrew letters):1= Aleph, Yod, Qoph2= Beth, Kaph, Resh3= Gimel, Lamed, Shin4= Daleth, Mem, Tau5= Heh, Nun6= Vau, Samech7= Zayin, Ayin8= Cheth, Peh9= Teth, TzaddiSo as you can see, the number 9 was used, just like the numbers from 1 to 8. The only reason why 9 isn't used in the modern pseudo-chaldean numerology is that the hebrew letters which corresponded to the number 9 didn't originate any letter in our alphabet. For instance, the letter Teth (between CHETH / greek Eta / latin "H", and YOD / greek Iota / latin "I" and "J") doesn't exist in our alphabet. Likewise, the letter Tzaddi (between PEH / greek Pi / latin "P", and QOPH / obsolete greek Qoppa / latin "Q") didn't survive into our alphabet. So this is the reason why 9 isn't used in the modern "Chaldean" Numerology. It has nothing to do with special "powers" of the number 9, nor even to any supposed "fear" of it from the "Chaldeans".Anyway... I've been making some investigations on alphabetical genealogy, and here's the system I believe respects more the Aiq Bekar, and the connections between the hebrew/phoenician letters and the latin letters:1= A, I, J, Q.2= B, K, R.3= C, G, L, S.4= D, M, T.5= E, N.6= F*, U*, V*, W*, X**, Y*.7= O, Z.8= H, P.* The hebrew letter Vau (=6) originated the obsolete greek letter Vau/Digamma (similar in shape to our "F"), and it is quite possible that it was the letter that inspired the creation of the greek letter Ypsilon (Y), the etruscan "U", and the latin "U"/"V". From U/V was created, much later, the letter W.** The hebrew letter Samech (=6) originated the greek letter Xi (between Nu and Omikron) which, however, didn't survive into our modern latin alphabet. However, it is quite possible that the greek letter Chi (between Phi and Psi) which originated our "X", was taken from it. In fact, in some old italic alphabets, the shapes of these two distinct letters were very similar, perhaps showing a common origin.Regarding the values of the letters F, H, X, Y in the modern pseudo-chaldean numerology, there isn't any logic in:-> giving "F" the value 8, since it derives (as shown) from the hebrew Vau (=6);-> giving "H" the value 5, since it has no relation at all to either Heh or Nun. The latin letter corresponding to hebrew Heh is "E", not "H". H was derived from Cheth (=8);-> giving "X" the value 5 (no comment!);-> giving "Y" the value 1, since it has no relation at all to the hebrew letter Yod. The latin letters corresponding to Yod are "I" (called "Iota" in greek) and "J" (called "Jot" or "Jota" in several languages). So, here is again my proposal of the Genealogical System of Numerology (corrected "Chaldean" system):1= A, I, J, Q.2= B, K, R.3= C, G, L, S.4= D, M, T.5= E, N.6= F, U, V, W, X, Y.7= O, Z.8= H, P.All the best,Luís (Alektryon)

Greetings,
Chaldean Numerology can be traced historically back to 4004 BCE. The Western system of numbers can be traced back 400 years after the Chaldean system was implemented; however the documentation about this system is very poor to say the least.
If you are interested in Numerology, I would highly recommend that you do your homework and start from the beginning of time so that you will get the facts straight. We not only researched history but wrote Numbers-The Powerful Bridge Beyond: Chaldean Numerology for the New Millennium to share with the world the truth about Numerology in general but specifically, Chaldean Numerology which is based on well over 75 years of research and personal consultations by three Chaldean Master Numerologists.

I understood that double digits were for inner influence, and single digits represent the outer aspects of a person. Am I right or wrong?
