Our Culture

Tattoos are deeply rooted into our culture. In fact the first tattoos were made over 5,000 years ago by rubbing soot into open wounds. This was actually a theraputic way of relieving arthritis pain. Can you believe it?

This was discovered on what we know as the "ice man" in all they had found exactly 57 tattoos on his body in the shapes of dots, lines, and crosses.

in many other cultures people would use tattoos as amulets as protection from the spirtual world. In fact Pazyryk civilization would tattoo an array of different animals, griffins, and monsters on their bodies because they believed to have magical significance.  Polynesians Also took tattooing and used it in a spiritual way. They believed that people’s “mana”, or spiritual life force was shown through their tattoos. In Hawaii They believed that their tattoos would guard them in the afterlife as well as keep them healthy in this world

Overall tattooing is very much deeply rooted in many cultures its not just a modern thing, it's actually been around for quite some time.
