In case you have not been following something besides the healthcare debate . I would like to Introduce you to a man I find so reprehensible , so disgusting , and such a liar , he makes a perfect case for the death penalty . I would like to Introduce you to Congressman Charles Rangel . Over the last couple of years Mr Rangel has been caught cheating on more taxes then the entire Obama cabinet combined Including our Secretary of the Treasury Tim Giethner . And I for one cannot understand why there Is not more of an outrage and calling for his head from the public at large . I mean after all this Is the guy that writes our tax code so excuse me If I am a little annoyed but not at all surprised that we have corruption thrown In our face and stay muted . I am generally a cranky guy by nature but I have gone from being annoyed most of the time, to taking the next step Into full blown rage ! It could almost make me want to bite a liberals finger off !
About the only violation this man has not done Is have $90,000 In his freezer . So I am not going to be at all apologetic for being blatantly hostile , I am not going to be PC or diplomatic In my viewpoints , I am an angry man who Is sick of the power elite who make one set of rules for us and then have the audacity to give us the finger when we call them out for not living by the same rules they set .
For your Information Mr Rangel was trying to secretly slip Into the health care bill some further punishments for tax cheats other then himself that Included
1 Punish those who fail to alert the IRS to potentially questionable tax exemptions
2 Bar the IRS from waiving tax penalties against taxpayers who clearly erred In good faith
3 His bill also Increases fines in some cases for HONEST mistakes !

Now Mr Rangel has made campaign contributions to more then 119 members of Congress . Not limited too but Including
1 Rep Ben Chandler D-Ky

3 Rep Peter Welch D- VT
Now Mr Welch has returned the $20,000 that was given to him by Mr Rangel because It might be a conflict of Interest In the Investigation of Mr Rangel . After all these are members of the House ethics panel ! 3of 5 as a matter of fact ! Does,nt that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy Inside ? I have no doubt that justice will surely be done .
And as reported by Channel 2 In NYC through the New York Post we are not talking about a few thousand dollars here , we are talking In the neighborhood of 4 Million dollars In outside Income and Business transactions . And this man dictates to me how I am gonna be taxed ?
This has been going on since Mr Rangel got a villa In the Domincan Republic In 1988 , when he started renting out the villa . But hopefully If the Washington elite have any sense of fair play , ( Yeah Right ! ) It will not be enough to call for Mr Rangels resignation , I want him tarred and feathered , I want him put In jail . I want him completely disassociated from Capitol Hill . I am not just annoyed today , I feel utter contempt ! Mr Rangel may you join Satan In hell soon ! That would be justice !!

Do as I say, not as I do--this is the Liberal philosophy. Charlie Rangle should have been put in prison long ago, but Nancy Pelosi is protecting him at every turn. The inmates are in charge of the asylum, that's for sure. But the good thing--the American people are paying close attention to all of this; bad news for the Dems in 2010.

You know what's really sad about this situation? If the election were held today, Charlie Rangel would win. This is because the people he represents in his district, share the same "get over" attitude as he does. And they really don't care what he does, just as long as their government checks arrive on time, and the cashier at the local grocery store accepts their food stamps. Sad.

Rangle learned his lessons well. Rangle's predecessor Adam Clayton Powell was expelled by congress in March, 1967 for missapproprition of funds. Powell was then re-elected by his district of Harlem for the seat from which he was expelled.
Kind of a Marion Berry story from congress.

The problem isn't Rangel. he represents a constituancy that wants him. The problem is the rest of the body of legislatures that condone and assist his type of politics and personal behavior. If you had to use integrity to buy beans, you couldn't get a fart out of the whole congressional body.

Excellent hub. I also wrote a article about Rangel and as we can see his pals came through for him. Always protected by Pelosi an her liberal crew. It is pathetic that he writes tax law and walks around a free man. It wouldn't work that way for us.
