Phuket is a collection of breathtaking natural resources: rocky peninsular, limestone cliffs, sun-drenched, white sandy beaches, tranquil broad bays and ...

Thailand is located in the heart of Southeast Asia and is a natural gateway to many exotic places including Indochina, Myanmar and Southern China. Its geographical shape makes it easy to divide into four natural regions each with its own unique feel. In the North lie mountains and forests, with the Central Plains having vast rice fields. Semi-arid farm lands are on the northeast plateau and tropical islands and lush jungle lie along the coastline of the peninsula south.

Phuket is located 862 kilometers south of the capital city of Bangkok. Dubbed the Pearl of the South and the Pearl of Andaman, Phuket is a collection of breathtaking natural resources: rocky peninsular, limestone cliffs, sun-drenched, white sandy beaches, tranquil broad bays and tropical in-land forests. All of these aspects go towards making it the South's wealthiest, busiest, most visited and popular island in Thailand.

When you arrive on Phuket, it would be easy to stay there forever. There are only two seasons to contend with - the rainy season which runs from May to October and the hot season which goes from November to April. The worst time to visit the island is during September and October when Phuket is at its most wet and humid. The best time to come to the islands is between November and February when the skies are blue, the water a crystal, emerald and the average temperatures range between 23C and 33C.

Villa rentals, cheap hotel rooms in Phuket and may, at first, appear to be a daunting challenge because of the thousands of choices available. Depending on your personal preference, you can find hilltop, panoramic views, beach front villas that open out onto the white and azure calm seas.

When you set out to rent a luxury villa, decide between solitude and the more hectic atmosphere of street markets and beach activities. There are luxury villas on the east coast that are secluded and peaceful more in line with what Samui or Krabi offer. A sense of remoteness and privacy are what the villas along the coastline offer, highlighted by traditional Thai fishing villages, quiet, serene beaches and pleasant solitude.

Along the west coast there is more luxury villas concentrated around Patong, Kamala and Surin. Haron and Kata beaches are excellent choices for beach front accommodations and there are also splendid estates like the Samsara Estate, Phuket Pavilions, Baan Thai Surin Hill and the Plantation. Each is at the top in terms of surroundings, service and the value offered for rental.

Higher amongst the trees are more secluded resorts nestled in the center of the island. They come with wonderful mountain and sea views, some of the best golfing in the world and villas located in the heart of golfing territories which golf fanatics would adore. With a highly developed infrastructure, nothing is more than a twenty minute drive from any of the hilltop locations.

Space is becoming a hot commodity in much of Phuket with the southern portions, once neglected now more and more popular with each passing year. Rentals are more affordable than their well known Western counterparts and the 40 minute drive from the airport is enough to put off all but the most adventurous souls.

As a result, the beautiful beaches, headlands and fine restaurants in the area are overlooked. The luxury villas and service would match anything on the west coast, but at more affordable prices. People are venturing into these areas and resorts' including Andaman Cove and it is becoming a much more popular place to vacation. With the same level of amenities like tennis courts, kids clubs and trips to private islands, guests are discovering great value for their money.
