Inexpensive Teeth Whitening

I've just discovered, completely by accident, a very inexpensive and easy way to whiten teeth.

Background

Over the last two years my coffee and tea consumption had increased and on my last visit to the dentist I was told; 'your teeth are good but quite stained from tea and coffee'

I must admit that they didn't look very nice but not being overly concerned with appearance it didn't bother me.

About a month before my teeth whitening discovery, I had over indulged in cake, chocolate and wine and my liver was giving me very definite unhappy signals, so I decided to cleanse my system for a few days.

Method

I cut out tea and coffee completely and ate lots of fruit and drank sparkling water.

Day One I felt ill and sick so I ate nothing.

Day two I ate only fruit and began drinking Rose Hip Cordial and Sparkling Water.

Days three to five I returned to my normal vegetarian diet with a lot of fruit and veg and continued to drink the Rose Hip Cordial and Sparkling Water.

The main difference to my normal diet, apart from the complete avoidance of tea and coffee was the addition of rose hip cordial to sparkling water, several times throughout the day. I had felt a stong need of vitamin C in my diet and rose hips are an excellent source of this vitamin.

Result

By day five I was feeling more my normal healthy self and grinned at my reflection in the mirror, to my amazement grinning back at me were two rows of pearly white teeth.

Would this have happened without the Rose Hip cordial? Was it the mixture of Sparkling Water and rose hips that effected the whitening. Would it have happened if I'd continued to drink tea and coffee while drinking the Rose Hip Cordial?

I don't know the answers to those questions and so I would be very interested to receive comments or find out what happens when anyone else tries a similar approach.

Conclusion

Having got my lovely white teeth back for the cost of under ten euros I share this discovery with anyone else who might benefit. The only difficult part of this regime might be refraining from tea and coffee. I, for one have no intention of returning to my previous coffee addiction. Maybe I am vainer than I thought!
