Cheap Paintball Explained

Cheap Paintball

Paintball, while fun, is expensive, so it's important to make sure you don't waste money. Paintball can actually be a reasonably cost sport, but to make sure that's the case, one needs to be aware of the best resources available.

The first thing is the marker. Most people start off wanting to buy the shiniest, fastest firing gun available. While such markers will impress people, and makes for hilarious youtube videos, it may be better to start off with a highly customizable marker that starts out with a good base model that's also inexpensive, such as the Tippman 98 Custom. While in the short term it's cheaper to rent, or buy from Wal-Mart or Target, in the long run you'll find it's cheaper and you'll have a better gun if you lay down some initial scratch.

Another thing to keep an eye out for is cheap paintball kits. There's a host of them available, and they'll get you everything you need in one fell swoop, usually uncluding a marker, facemask, and air tank. If you're willing to drop a bit more, they'll sometimes come with better barrels, which increases accuracy, (reducing the number of shots you'll likely need to paint up your opponents) extra paintball containers and a vest to carry them, and other accessories.

Lastly, different types of games require different things. Speedball usually requires a less accurate gun but you'll spend far more on paintballs. During a woodsball match, accuracy is king, and each shot should count, so you'll want a gun with an upgraded barrel, but you won't be constantly having to buy bags of paintballs between rounds.

Find out what kind of paintball fields you have nearby, buy appropriate equipement, and you'll be on your way to winning at cheap paintball!
