So with all of this talk about recession, and economic downturn, etc. the last thing people expect is to go on vacation.  However, this is the time!  Flights, hotels, and especially package deals have become so affordable that with the rising cost of gas for the car, it's actually getting cheaper to fly than to drive!!

Hence, as a poor college student, I am constantly looking for the best deal.  I scour the Internet (because after all I'm a millenial so we don't believe in newspapers or travel agencies) looking for good deals then I check my bank account, count up my paychecks, and see if I can afford it.  While this is fun it's a little depressing too.

THEN I found this site, http://besttraveldeals.net with a page that has packages for under $250.  Combined with some good deals on flights too, I suddenly have more hope for that summertime vacation.

Of course there are also good deals if you're willing to travel last minute, or plan your vacation and gamble with the deals the day before you're leaving.  I'm a bit more risk averse than that, I prefer to plan.  The site also has deals for advanced planning too, which is fun because then I'll have some more money to add to the pot for the vacation :)
