First off .... Let me emphasize I have a CHEAP truck. Actually, I'm the king of cheap trucks.

But having a cheap truck did not stop me from demanding my mechanic only use new factory direct parts for every little repair required for my cheap truck. Of course Bubba or Buster (whatever his name was...) would try to tell me I could save money by allowing him to get used truck parts. In my mind, I'd see one of those 1940's rusted out junkers with some creepy dude yanking out dry rotted hoses and belts and hawking them to unsuspecting pimply faced mechanic apprentices, who would then stuff them in my cheap truck. No Thank you!

That was until the wifey poo dragged me to one of those "Save the environment" fundraisers and I actually listened to some guys talking about how using quality guaranteed used car parts could save like a gagillion barrels of oil used in the production of new parts. I like the words "quality" and "guaranteed". I also like the words "Less Money" and "economical".

Now when I think about used car parts for my cheap trucks, I picture a brand new suped up four wheeling top of the line expensive truck that has just been rear-ended my some old 18-Wheeler of a cheap truck. The rear end is demolished but the engine and all it's parts are still new. Those are the parts I want for my truck.

My conclusion, ask Bubba or Buster to use guaranteed used car parts in your cheap trucks for two reasons.... Save the Environment and Save Money.
