Cheap auto AC

Did your car come without air conditioning? Is the one in your car broken? Make a simple cheap air conditioner by taking a regular cooler or ice box (I use a Coleman 54 quart cooler) and cutting 2-3 holes in the top. One hole is for a fan and is cut on one side of the cooler lid . You can use a 12 volt fan that plugs into a cigarette lighter receptacle or you can straight wire it to a fuse. You can also use a 120 volt fan if you have a voltage inverter. You want a small fan (or you can use a 12 volt hair dryer if you can find one). Just cut a hole big enough so the fan wont fall through and mount it pointing down using duct tape, plastic ties, or whatever you can find to hold it in place. The other hole or holes are the vent holes. I cut a 4" hole for my fan and 2-2" holes for the vents. Fill the cooler half full of ice and you have your very own economy air conditioner. A bag or two of ice keeps your car cool all day. Its cheaper than running your cars AC as you dont use that 25 hp to run the compressor. Works great on cars, trucks, vans or small rooms.

Enjoy
