Chest Hair Transplant
66Many people that are going bald, want to do something about this. Losing your hair is always uncomfortable, whether it happens in your twenties or your fifties. Hair loss virtually always has at least some impact on our psyches. There are a lot of things you can do to combat your hair loss these days. You can use topicals, drugs, non surgical hair replacement or surgical hair replacement. Topicals such as Aminexil and Minoxidil and drugs such as finasteride and dutasteride only work as long as you keep using them. Most people use these without too many side effects, but not everybody wants to be bothered with these methods as they are regarded quite a hassle. This is especially true for the topicals.
The only treatment currently available that gives you permanent results is the hair transplant surgery. This surgery might be invasive, but after you have healed from the procedure, you pretty much never have to do anything about your new hair every again. Besides washing it just like the rest of your regular hair, ofcourse. But otherwise, it needs no special maintenance or anything silly like that. With a hair transplant, a strip of donor hair is removed from the back of your head. These donor hairs are then transplanted back onto your head. These donor hairs will then continue to grow normally.
Chest Hair Transplant
This strip incision is the most invasive part of a hair transplant. The strip that is cut out leaves a wound as you might have guessed. This wound is sewn up and then left to heal. Some old fashioned hair transplant clinics might choose to staple the wound shut. This is by many advanced clinics to be a barbaric and obsolete method. The staples create yet another two rows of wounds above and below the strip wound, making the procedure even more invasive than it already is.
But if you don't want to have a strip excised from the back of your head in order to prevent the back of your head from scarring, there is another option available for you. One requirement of this is that you have a hairy chest. Yes, you read it right. A hairy chest! Or a hairby back for that matter. It doesn't really matter. With chest hair transplants, your chest hair can be transplanted to your head. Ofcourse, body hair cannot be strip excised. Therefore, the hairs will have to be plucked individually, making it a much more labor intensive chore.
You might wonder about the differences between body hair and scalp hair. You're probably asking yourself how weird it would look to have chest hairs growing your scalp. But not to worry! The hair from your body will take on the characteristics of your scalp hair once it is transplanted there. The reverse is also true. If you take a hair from the scalp and you transplant it into your body, this follicle will take on body hair characteristics. Hair on the body grows much shorter than hair on the head. But once body hair is in your scalp, it grows just as long as your regular head hair!
So next to saving yourself the trouble of getting a scar in the back of your head, you are also getting rid of your unwanted body hair!
