Chest Acne
54Chest acnes are aberration caused on the chest and are similar to acne that occurs on the face. Though it occurs both in men and women, the incidence is more common in women. Unlike acne, it can affect teenagers as well as adults.
These are caused due to over activity of sebaceous glands, accumulation of sweat and dead cells.
How to prevent chest acne?
- Always maintain proper hygiene. Have a bath with warm water, using medicated soap twice a day. Scrub your body well so that the dirt is removed properly.
- You can make use of pumic stone once in as week to remove the dead cells.
- Wear cotton clothes that can easily absorb the sweat.
- Wear medium fitted cloth that allows air circulation.
- Use clean bed sheets, bed spreads and pillow.
- Get your towel washed regularly.
- If you are prone to acne do not use talcum powders, sprays and deodorants on your chest.
- Do not open the acne or touch it frequently.
Home remedies for chest acne
These remedies have proved effective in curing chest acne:
- A paste of neem and mint powder can work wonders when applied on the acne.
- You can consume one neem tablet every night with warm water to get rid of all the skin problems, including acne.
- Cooked white oats paste can be applied on the acne. Wash it off gently after drying.
- Drink one glass of warm water mixed with few lemon drops every morning. This will provide much needed vitamin C to your body and cure your skin problems
- Avoid hot and spicy food as well as non vegetarian food as it is hot in nature.
- Drink a glass of freshly made gourd juice every day. It is a coolant and will cure acne instantly. If you don’t like the taste of plain gourd, then you can either add an apple or you can add one tomato and a cucumber in the juice. If you are suffering from common cold or diseases such as asthma or common cold, then you should not consume gourd juice.
- Dilute sandalwood powder in water and add a few drops of rose water and apply it on your chest
- Regular
use of antibacterial soap can prevent the occurrence of acne.
Generally the chest acne should be cured with in 5 days. If you feel the acne not curing or has changed the color and has become extremely painful, then you should seek medical advice.
