Chetan Bhagat - Author and Script Writer

Chetan Bhagat is an Indian Author. He graduated from the IIT Delhi (1991-1995) and completed his post graduation from IIM Ahmedabad (1995-1997). Chetan Bhagat is known for his simple way of narration and can boast of 3 Best Selling Books. His first Novel Five Point Someone was published in the year 2004, followed by One Night @ Call Center in 2005 and Three Mistakes of my Life in 2008. After eleven years in Hong Kong, he relocated to Mumbai in 2008, where he works in an investment bank. Chetan Bhagat is married to his classmate Anusha from IIM Ahmedabad and has twin boys Ishaan and Shyam. Chetan Bhagat is also interested in Screenplays and spirituality

Five Point SomeOne

Chetan Bhagat’s first Novel, Five Point Someone is about three boys who join IIT Delhi and try to cope with the heavy workload of the institute. It is about what not to do at IIT. Chetan received the Society Young Achiever's award in 2004 and the Publisher's Recognition award in 2005 for this Book. Rajkumar Hirani who has made movies like Lage Raho Munna Bhai is considering taking the script of 5 Point Someone with Aamir Khan in the lead role.

One Night @ the CallCenter

Chetan Bhagat’s second Novel One Night @ the Call Center is based Six people working in a CallCenter and one night which changes it all for them. A Big Budget Bolywood film ‘Hello’ is based on this Novel. Chetan Bhagat himself is the script writer for this film. The actors of the film are Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sharman Joshi and Gul Panag among others.

The Three Mistakes of my Life

Chetan Bhagat's third book, The Three Mistakes of My Life is about a young boy in Ahmedabad called Govind Patel dreamt of having a business. Govind along with his friends Ish and Omi open a cricket shop. This Book is about the struggles and mistakes of these friends commit to realize their goals.

As I have mentioned in the Hub Chetan Bhagat is one of my favourite Authors too and I like all his Novels. If I like any other Indian Author then it would be Shoba De because she expresses even complicated subjects with ease. I absolutely adore her!
