Chicken Ginger Stew Otherwise Known as Chicken Tinola
Come in to kitchen, Let's cook and eat.
Chicken Tinola is a famous Dish among Filipino People. This is very nutricious and easy to cook. A simple broth with chicken and green papaya, it is a favorite home-style dish in the Philippines.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 kilo chicken, cut in serving pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 thumb-size ginger root, cut into strips
- 4-5 cups of water
- One medium-sized green papaya, peeled and cut into cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Chicken bullion cubes
- Three cups of chili leaves or spinach
COOKING PROCEDURE:
1. In a medium saucepan, sautee chicken cuts together with ginger for four minutes.
2. Pour in water. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer until chicken is half-done.
3. Add onions, chicken bullion and let it simmer for three minutes.
4. Season with salt according to your taste.
5. Add green papaya and let it simmer for five minutes or until half cooked.
6. Add chili leaves or spinach Cover and let simmer for about 3 minutes or until chili leaves or spinach are cooked
7. Remove from heat.
Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot. Enjoy eating!

sure, she cooks everything with Filipino zest like shripms, fish, checken liver (her favorite) calamari, and when all the Filipino circle at night, Vodka with lemon wedges and grilled checken start to be exchanged among us all till the morning... Nice people.

Looks yummy. There is another Filipino dish that I like which is Chicken Adobo with Soy Sauce. Very tasty.
