Made the transition over three weeks. My daog started having large, loose stools, diarrhea, and some vomiting. I have stopped feeding her this good and hae been feeding her ground beef and rice to settle her stomach and intestinal tract. I woulc not recommend this food. She was fine until we switched.
Our 2 large dogs ages 13 (Siberian Husky) and 8 (Boxer mix) have been eating this food for a few years. It is the best by far from what we have tried in the past - no issues at all with our Husky who has a very sensitive stomach.

We have 3 chihuashuas & stared them on this food. Two are on the adult food, ages 3 & 5 and are doing good. The old guy, going on 14 has not done well on the senior food. He has had loose stools, vomiting and blood in his stools. I had to put him on rice & lean turkey to calm him down. I am going to try and find another kibble that suites him better. I may try and change the younger two also.
Marianna,
I was feeding this brand of dog food to my dog and began to have troubles, too. I switched to Maxximum dog food and she seems to be doing much better.

I bought a bag of this for my 13 year old beagle and he is a very picky eater. He really enjoyed the taste and his appetite has improved since eating this brand.
Also he does not have bad body odor that he would get with certain other brands of dog food and thats great! I am happy with this brand.
Diamond (owned by Mars) is the maker of Chicken Soup for the Dog/Cat Lover's Soul. Diamond Pet Foods does not have the best track record. I would take that into consideration when recommending this pet food.
we have two rescue dogs and they were a real mess when we got them. they were on a corn based food and i slowly switched to Chicken Soup Senior ( one dog had a broken leg and was stiff in the joints because it was not set correctly) the other dog skin was terrible - with the help of the SENIOR food and all the extra supplements in this food they are GREAT! the large bag is very cost effective and i feel great giving my babies this food!! the ingrediants (senior formula) with Nupro Silver Supplement has made them soo soft and very happy active dogs!! i highly recommend-just switch over slowly.

Everything about this food sounds great, but what about the salt? Why should there be sodium in there food?
