Child Cancer... How Can I Help?
83Noah Biorkman
If you haven't noticed, there is a story about a little boy that has been circulating. His name is Noah Biorkman and he has had neuroblastoma for 2 years. He may not make it to Christmas. His dying wish is to get as many cards as he can for Christmas and many people are trying to make that happen for him.
Here at hubpages.com, a forum has been set up in his honor and to bring about awareness. A great question was asked this morning about how we can help other children in need, as Noah is only one of thousands of children who are sick or dying.
I am dedicating this hub to the brave children of the world who have been fighting for their own lives. They are their own army, fighting diseases that, many times, don't have a cure... let us rally behind them and help.

- Help Create a Christmas Miracle
This year, you do not need to rely on snow falling or angels to create the only miracles, you can help create one yourself. In a town in Michigan, a little boy name Noah Biorkman, age 5, is currently living...

Chase Ringler
Another Boy With Neuroblastoma
Chase Ringer is another boy who has battled neuroblastoma for two years. The disease was discovered when a tumor was found in his adrenal gland, and though he has had surgery, he is still in danger for relapse.
As there is no cure if he relapses, he is still in danger, but lives his life to the fulest every day with his caring family. A website has been put up for his honor and people are welcome to visit and to make a donation to neuroblastoma research. (You can even purchase a t-shirt that will donate money to the cause AND help you spread awareness).

Cure Search and Hope Street Kids
There is a great online resource with information for families and others who are either dealing with cancer or wanting to know more about it. You can leave a donation for their research on their front page.
There is also a link on their website called "Hope Street Kids", a program that has been around 10 years. Both of these programs have raised money to donate to research for childhood cancer. HSK has raised over 9 million to help research and pediatric research.
More info on Cure Search
- CureSearch
CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation and Children' s Oncology Group are partners in the search to cure childhood cancer; each with vital responsibilities concerning research; care; public awareness and fundraising.
Want to Volunteer?
Another great program in the business of giving hope to small children is the Make a Wish Foundation. Children are allowed to make one wish, and the program will do what they can to help that wish com true.
Though you can donate money to this company's cause, you can also donate your time and efforts to it.There are many programs set up all over the country and you may be able to find one near your home.
One of the best things about this program is that you can adopt a child's wish and donate money or time to meeting that wish yourself.
Want to make a wish come true?
Want More?
Contact your local hospital and ask if there is anything you can do to help. Perhaps you have great clown skills and you can set up a time to visit the childrens hospital and make their day!
Knitters all over the country knit and crochet hats to donate to cancer centers. Men, women and children are allowed to chose a hat as they leave the hospital. If your local hospital does not have this program, ask if you can start it.
Use your skills, whatever they are... and make a difference.
If you have more resources and ideas... please let me know... I would be glad to add them :)
