There are many child birth methods avaliable now days. There is natural birth at home assisted by a nurse mid wife, there is natural birth in a birth center assisted by a nurse mid wife. There is natural birth in a hospital either in bed or a wonderful thing called water birthing. There is also medicaed child birth, where they would give you local pain medication or an epidural cathidor for the pain. There is also c section. Which ever one works out best for you is something that you want to think about. Water birthing in the hospital and or at home or in a birthing center is suppose to be a lot better for the mother and the child. It's safer and keeps the mother from tearing as easily during child birth. The water also works as a natural pain killer for the mother and helps her relax more. C sections are usually used only for an emergancy or if the doctor feels erlier in the pregnancy that a c section is needed, such as for a women pregnant with twins or more. A women that has had a previous c section, or someone with gestational diabeties and at risk for a large child. Pre mature births, and of course preeclampsia. Those are all serious causes as to why that child birth method may be used.
