Children's Birthday Party Planning Tip #1
Remember the party is to honor the birthday child. Create a party centered around the birthday child and you're a step ahead. The kids won't remember if your house was white glove spotless or not. Nor will they remember the tiny details. They'll only remember if they had fun or not and if they felt welcomed or not.
Children's Birthday Party Planning Tip #2
You are not the Lone Ranger so don't act like it. Get your spouse or another family member to help out. Don't go it alone. Allow time for yourself to be with your child as well. If you don't, your child will remember you didn't.

Children's Birthday Party Planning Tip #3
Be sure there is plenty for the kids to do. Don't allow any down time unless you want to hear, "I'm bored," or "I want to go home." If the natives start to get restless, and they are younger kids, set them down for story time and use a story you can easily insert their names into. For older kids, have them help set up for the next game. Just keep them busy. So you've got all the details of the party down. Now what? Oh, the Invitations, that's right.
Make your invitations different by sending them electronically via email with a clickable link that comes right into your web page about the party. Your guests will immediately see the details of the party, the theme of the party, pictures of the birthday child and more. You can even post little "need-to-knows" such as, "bring swimwear and a towel." Make it exceptionally unique and personal by adding a video clip of your child inviting the guest to the party. Add some festive b-day music, balloons, and streamers to your page's decorations and you've got quite a festive little invitation. Your web page can also be interactive. Your guests can reply online and everyone can see who is coming to your birthday party and who's not and who is still thinking about it. You can even put pictures of your guests next to their names and make it even more personal for them. This will encourage them to mingle in cyberspace, get to know each other, and actually network.
You can change the page up as much as you'd like and when the party is done, add some pictures from the party for all to see and have. Just go to Eventslisted.com and invite away. Besides being personal and interactive and easy to use, it's also free. Now we're talking!
