With more and more cars appearing on our roads every year, even with new automotive technologies, the carbon footprint from us as a human race continues to get larger every year.

So you may ask, what can we do about it?

Using public transport more, or sharing car journeys might help.

So might finding alternative (greener) sources of transport like solar or wind powered vehicles.

But they may not be practicle or viable just yet. Not to mention extremely expensive!

I decided that I was going to cycle more to both save money and do my bit for the planet by reducing my personal carbon footprint.

But there was one issue. I have a small child to ferry about with me, so I bought a childs bike trailer so that I could still use a bike and transport my little girl with me at the same time.

They are great things! I believe that a bike with a childs bike trailer; could be used by many 2 car families as a replacement for their second car.

And they'd even get a bit of exercise!
