What is the Chinese Lunar Calendar for Baby Gender Prediction?

The Chinese gender predictor was discovered about 700 years ago by Chinese Scientists. This Chinese birthing chart is used extensively in China and many other countries in the far east, and is thought by many to be very accurate, about 93%! Regardless whether you are a "believer" or not, the Chinese gender prediction chart can be a lot of fun to experiment with.

If you are already pregnant the Chinese baby calendar can show you if you will be the mother of a little baby boy or a beautiful baby girl. If you are considering starting a family you can use the Chinese birthing chart to decide the best month to coceive, depending on whether you want a boy baby or a girl baby.

How to use the Chinese Birthing Calendar

To use the baby calendar accurately you just need to know the mothers age at conception (not age at birth) and the month that your baby is conceived in (again not birth date.) These dates need to come from the Chinese Lunar Calendar and not the Gregorian calendar used in most of the rest of the world.

So, now let's figure out these dates on the Chinese Lunar Calendar? To start with the mother-to-be's age will start not at her birth date (as in the west) but at the date of her own conception. So add 9 months to her overall age to begin with. The Chinese New Year varies from year to year, falling sometime between January 22 and February 22. So you will need to find out what date was the Chinese New Year on the mother-to-be's birth year (or the year she was conceived in.) If you can see it could change resulting year of the conception of the mother or baby.

Next you will need to figure the baby's month of conception again-not birth date), here again using the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Keeping in mind the date of the Chinese New Year in the year the baby was conceived. Just remember the date of the New Year varies and is not January 1st as it is in the west. If need be, if for instance the baby is conceived in September (or after), that would mean even if the Chinese New Year fell on Febuary 22 it would not affect the year of conception.

Once you have these two dates accurately determined, you simply find the months on the Chinese baby prediction chart and follow the two columns till they intersect and if the square is blue the birthing chart predicts a baby boy, if the square is pink the chart predicts the baby will be a girl.

Conclusion

The Chinese baby calendar, or Chinese baby predictor can be used on your unborn baby, your older children, adults, or anyone for that matter.

In your seventh or eighth month you can of course have an ultra-sound and know for sure the gender of the baby you're carrying, but I think using the Chinese gender prediction chart is a lot more fun:o).

So put the Chinese lunar baby gender prediction calendar (whew) to use (now that you know how to use it) at your next baby shower, or get together, and have some fun with it.
