Traditionally, Western Judeo-Christian views toward sexual intercourse have stunted all serious studies involving sexual relationships between heterosexuals and homosexuals. . It was not until the mid-1970s, did the health and psychiatric communities start diving deeper into the unknown realms of human sexuality. Western society is just now studying the cause and effects of human orgasms, particularly men verses women, and that of the many different theories of sexuality. However, Western philosophy towards sex is a double edge sword. On the one side, sex between a man and wife is considered sacred. Then on the other side of the blade, some Western religions and societies consider sex to be taboo, and evil. Especially if the act of lovemaking involves a homosexual couple, group of people, or sex when not married.

Ancient Chinese Secret-

· The Chinese perspective is that there are NO differences between sacred sexual relations, to that of the taboo. There are no differences whatsoever. It is a natural, earthly occurrence, that is manifested both here on earth, and in the heavens. It is a universal magnet to happiness, and long life.

· As far as Chinese Taoism is concerned, the only important distinctions regarding sexual activities are those with healthy sexual habits, to those who support unhealthy sexual habits. In the East, Western Judeo-Christian traditions in the eyes of Chinese Taoists is a horrible display of human dissatisfactions, because of un-natural guilt that we inflict upon ourselves, that in turn causes a variety of unique sexual frustrations, that only Western cultures experience. Basically, they feel sorry for Western society. Again, since there is no such thing as taboo sexual intercourse, they simply cannot comprehend how we can live with the guilt placed upon us, by religious nutcases and traditions.

· Chinese Taoism, or Ying and Yang studied the subject of human sexuality with a blended mixture of curiosity and reverence. Something they do, with do all natural phenomena. That is why their research in all the sexual fields of study, out match that of Western research 10 to 1. Westerns Doctors are just now starting to understand the importance of sexual activity in our lives. They have only just begun to ask their patients about their sex lives, and sexual energy levels. Taoist doctors in China have been asking these same questions for thousands of years. Good sex, whether it is mind over matter candidly speaking controls many different human aspects of happiness, behavior, health, and longevity. Sex is the key to having a full and rewarding life.

"The arts of the bedroom constitute the climax of human emotions and encompass the totality of Tao. Therefore, the ancient sages regulated man's external pleasures in order to control his inner passions, and they made detailed rules and terms governing sexual intercourse. If a man regulates his sexual pleasure, he will feel at peace and attain longevity. If, however, a man abandons himself to sexual pleasure without regard for the rules set forth in the ancient texts, he will soon fall ill and gravely injure himself." —Dynastic History of Later Han

There are wonderful books by Mantak Chia (not sure I spelled that right) about controlling our sexual energy to make our health, and our sexual relations, blossom. His book on female energy outlines a natural birth control technique that he and his wife practice. The books are a fascinating read even if you don't want to put his ideas into practice. I thought you might like them (maybe you already know about him!) VERY interesting hub!!
