Chloe Agnew Biography
Chloe Agnew was born on June 9, 1989, in Dublin, Ireland. She is the daughter of Irish pop icon Adele "Twink" King and Irish oboist David Agnew. Chloe may be young but she is already a musical veteran. She made her stage debut at 4 weeks old and sang on her mother's TV show at the age of 6.
In 1998, Agnew represented Ireland and was the winner of the Grand Prix at the First International Children's Song Competition in Cairo, Egypt, with a song called "The Friendship Tree". In 1999, she appeared in The Young Messiah, a modern adaptation of Handel's Messiah. In this production, she played one of the children and performed sign language.
Her big break came at the age of 11 when she approached Musical Director David Downes with the idea of recording a song to raise money for the children of Afghanistan. With his assistance, she recorded "Angel of Mercy" for the album This Holy Christmas Night, which raised over 20,000 pounds for the Afghan Children's Charity Fund in 2001.
In 2002, at 12 years of age, Agnew was signed to Celtic Collections, and with the backing of Downes she recorded her debut album Chloe. Two years later, in 2004, she followed this with her second album, Walking in the Air. That same year, she appeared as part of the group Celtic Woman at The Helix in Dublin. To date, she has recorded three albums with the group and has taken part in several world tours.
Chloe is not only a brilliant singer and incredibly talented performer, but also a positive role model for young women today.

This girl is a dream come true. I saw her perform on stage last May 4,2007. Her Parents must be so very proud of her. The time and effort she has spent shows so beautifully in her singing and appearance. I only hope she continues. There is no one out there her age that even comes close. I've seen a lot of great diva's in my life, but from the bottom of my heart, I only can say she's on of the greatest of today. My favs of her: Panis Angelicus and The Prayer. Her rendition of Panis Angelicus is the most beautiful I've seen and heard in my entire life, and I'm 61 years old.

We saw the Celtic Women in concert and it was wonderful. I was especially impressed with Chloe. Her voice and command of the stage was astounding. I was shocked to learn she is only 17 years old. Her potential to be great is all there. She also sounds like her life and priorities are all in the right place. She could be a great role model for young women around the world. You go girl!
She's a lot older now than when these videos were made I think! Saw her in concert in Seattle last week..man she's hot! she has grown so much into one of the most beautiful young women I have ever seen..I'd shake the hand of the man who she pays even the slightest attention to..god how i wish it were me,o well a guy can dream!

Well G'Day from Down Under, I just brought the Celtic Woman DvD and was absolutely amazed at the quality of the performers especially Chloe. She truly has a God given talent and I'm very humbled that I'm able to enjoy it so much. I only hope that The Tour comes to Brisbane Australia. Would be great to see alll of the in person. And if the other reviews are anything to go on I'm am sure I would enjoy it.

Chloe is truly a very gifted and sensational singer. The fact that she is truly a beautiful person enhances these qualities. My favorite songs are Nella Fantasia and The Prayer. I have seen her perform in the US and Ireland. I have had the honor of meeting Chloe and she is even more beautiful and gracious in person than she is on stage. The first time I heard her sing on PBS she took me to a place I have never been, I am a simple guy but when I heard walking in the air I saw myself in the clouds on for a moment I lost myself in the most wonderfull of dreams, like nothing matters. Its hard to explain. She does indead have a wonderfull voice.

Chloe is my idol. She brings such a calm and angelical soul/voice that I just can't stop listening to her songs. Also her and Mairead Nesbitt (another member of Celtic Woman) have inspired me to start singing even more and take up the violin. Playing the violin has led me to start playing in Orchestra's and for only playing for one year, I'm in an advanced group!

I knew Celtic Woman newly, incidentally, and I right away loved; then I was interested in the solo albums, and there, Chloé appeared to me!!!!! I listen to only you, in the morning, midday, evening, night, when this does not go well, I listen to your voice, and I go much better... As a compositor, I find that you have the pure and most clear voice that I have never heard!!! My dream: to meet you one day , can write for you , marry you!!!
