Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies--A Treat Anytime

Who doesn't enjoy chocolate chip cookies? This recipe includes healthful oatmeal and makes lots of mouthwatering cookies.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups butter (1lb)

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

Cream ingredients together in a large bowl until well mixed.

Add

3 cups oatmeal

3 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

Stir ingredients

Add in 1 cup or more of chocolate chips

Chill in fridge 1 hour

Roll into balls and place on cookie sheets. Press lightly with a fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes and then reduce heat to 300 degrees so that cookie middles cook. Remove oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from oven and set on a flat surface to cool.

This is an excellent recipe for cookies with the added benefit of oatmeal. It's foolproof and results in lots of delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
