Chocolate Skateboards History

Chocolate Skateboards is a professional skateboard company founded in April, 1994 (which by the way was when I was seven).

After Girl Skateboards was founded (by Rick Howard with Spike Jonze, Mike Carroll, and Megan Baltimore) some friends and other professional skateboarders came up with an idea. Instead of trying to stuff more riders on the Girl Skateboards team, they decided to create a new team and a new company.

Chocolate Skateboards was created.

Chocolate is a part of the Girl Distribution family, along with Lakai Limited Footwear, Royal Trucks, Fourstar Clothing Co, Ruby Clothing, Crailtap (Girl Distributions online hub for all of their brands) and newer board company called Skate Mental.

Although they are marketed as separate teams, they appear in each other's videos, such as the Girl Yeah Right video. It's like one big family and the riders have been seen using either company's boards as well as often touring together.

Chocolate's main products are decks and wheels, but they also offer clothing and accessories.

Here's some of the stuff you can buy:
