Choose your new hair style | Popular Hair Styles

I will start this hub by saying that I am not an expert on hair styles. I always had the same hair cut since I can remember but I love to watch people (specially women) using different hair styles.

So why did I made this hub? Mainly because I can not turn down a good challenge and also because it is a subject that otherwise I would never write about.

Even though I always use my hair very short I understand why people (once again specially women) love to wear long hair styles. It is a fact that almost every young woman looks prettier when using long hair and I say young woman because IMHO ladies with long hair tend to look somehow childish and immature. Sorry ladies.

One thing I will never understand it is the fear of cutting your hair. Come on people, it will grow again in no time! LOL

Well, I know I am not a good example because since I was 17 years old I have been doing haircut to myself at home with an hair clipper.

Lets` start with long hair styles. Personally I prefer the curly ones as they give this natural look and make the impression that she/he has even more hair. About this one I am also suspect because it is my better half`s favorite style.

As you probably know, some people born with curly hair and they have a lot more work and pain to get it done. I see my wife struggling with her hair everyday. And now my little daughter is starting to complain every time we try to comb her very curly hair.

But don´t you think that those with curly hair are the only ones to suffer. I still remember hearing all those girls with plain hair complaining about having to curl their hair with some kind of medieval torture tools LOL.

Long plain hair it is even harder to maintain in place during all day but it is really nice to watch how they "fly" every time the wind blows.

Approximately two weeks ago when I was still a young boy LOL, I remember to hear people saying that short hair was just for boys. Girls those days had to keep their hair growing at least to their shoulders. I still do not get it, why should girls have to suffer with long hair if they do not want to!?

Thankfully I am a boy and I never wanted to have long hair so things were pretty simple to me if we think about hairstyle.

If you really want to step up from the crowd then you should consider getting yourself a brand new alternative hair style.

The first one that I can think about it is stretching your hair up with the help of some hair stay styling gel. But if this is not enough you can always shave both sides of your head and stretch the remaining hair like a comb. This way you can not pass by without being noticed.

One of the alternative hair styles I prefer the most it is the dreadlocks used by those Rastafarian people. I guess if I ever think about letting my hair grow longer I would use it with dreadlocks. I bet it is the easiest way to have long hair LOL.

If after all this "alternativity" you are still not satisfied then the thing to do is to paint your hair, lets` say... green or maybe orange.

I can not say I love to see some woman with no hair but I can understand that choice. Can you imagine how much one can save on shampoo, conditioner, hairdressers, hair driers, etc, etc. LOL

On the other hand I do not see myself shaving my head. At least until I start shaving my face which I also can not see myself doing. I guess I like my hair (and beard, for that matter) style and for the time being I will keep some hair on.
