Choosing A Camp Site

I love to get into the outdoors and do a bit of camping. Whether it be on my own, with the family or in a group it is a lot of fun. One of the keys to camping though is choosing the right campsite. If you choose a poor one then it just makes the whole experience less enjoyable. So how do you choose the right camp site. Well this hub has a few tips on what to look for in a camp site and how to pick one.

How to choose the right camp site

Choose a level and shaded site The site should have good drainage in case of wet weather

The restroom and bathing facilities are within a reasonable distance

A water supply is nearby

Where do you dispose of garbage

How close to the recreational facilities--pool, playground, store etc.

Consider the layout

Is the site large enough to meet your needs?

Where will you put your tent(s)?

What area will you use for meal preparation and cooking & what about your picnic table?

How about your campfire and wood piles?

Is there an area for activities?

Where do you park your car?

Its great to get out into the outback and return to nature. Although we do need to be prepared and always take a first aid kit. that is a neccessity. Good hub
