Choosing The Right Mobile For You
57Choosing The Right Mobile For You
Technology is moving way too fast these days and within 24 hours of you buying a new phone, it's old technology. Having such a wide range of phones to choose from is always fantastic but it can also be over-whelming and confusing. So, having said that, here are some tips on how to go about deciding on what mobile phone to purchase.
#1. Design. Which design suits you best? Is it the right design for your hand? There are about 5 or 6 designed with mobiles these days. The most common include: Slide, Smart & Flip. Shop around, pick up the phones and see how they feel when held.#2. Features & Functions. You may be a businessman/woman. So may need a flashy mobile that you can save powerpoint presentations to. You may be a technology fanatic who wants everything from bluetooth to an MP3 player, a camera to internet. You may just want some simple that is just there to make a phone call if need be. Research is the key.#3. Your Most Trusted Brands. You may trust Nokia more than Motorola and Sony Ericsson more than LG. The best thing to do is to stick to the brand you trust the most because otherwise you have another hurdle to get over!#4. Ratings & Reviews. If you have decided you are interested in a certain phone. Look up ratings and reviews and give them a read. That goes without saying, do not rely completely on ratings and reviews. They can suck you in too much and/or put you off completely. The best thing to do is to talk to someone with experience such as a mobile phone salesperson because believe it or not, they tend to give you the truth about the good and the bad about all brands and models.#5. Pricing. Some mobile phones are very pricey. I own a mobile phone with an outright value of AU$459. I wasn't silly enough to blow all my money on one little thing all at once. Instead I got it on a 24-month contract paying $19 a month for the phone which also comes with $55 of credit per month. So when it comes to value for money, sometimes you are better off getting the more expensive phones on a contract - it sounds worse than it really is.I hope these few hints help you find the mobile phone you've been looking for. Research is the key to this process - I looked for months before I found the right one. I will add to this hub if I can think of any more helpful hints!Helpful Links
