Choosing The Right Puppy for Your Family
61I too was at the same question 3 years ago. To answer this you need to ask yourself 3 questions. Will there be someone home during the day to take care of the pet. Most pets dont like to be left alone, and can be very distructive. Next, can you afford the pet? So many people go and get a pet, but cant afford to take care of it, such as taking them to the vet to update shots, and getting a health exam, and being able to feed your pet. A pet is just like having another child. They need love, attention, and being able to take care of them. When you go to chose your pet, bring the kids so you can see if your family and the pet gets along. You dont want to get a dog or puppy if they shy away from you or show you signs of aggression. I myself chose a german sheppard puppy 3 years ago, when my daughter was 3. We purchased our pet from a breeder, wich is the best way to go, because you can talk to the breeder who is very familiar with the line of heritage. They can tell you how they act around children, or family memebers or strangers. What ever your choice maybe, make sure your treat your pet as a family member, and they will be loyal in return. Such as the German Sheppard, they are very lovable, easy going, and very protective of your family for life. If you have any more questions in reference to the German Sheppard, feel free to ask me......scorp2002 on the hubpages. I hope that I have been of some help to you.
