Christmas is that one time of the year where we set aside time to make the loved ones in our lives feel extra special. This is the only day of the year where the majority of businesses shut down in order for people to make there loved ones a priority.

There are many ways we show love to those special around us by the special foods we share, different family traditions, spending time just hanging out, and of course gift giving.

In my opinion, a Christmas gift should be one that the person will really enjoy and really wants to receive. It should be a well thought out gift that is a personal want or desire of the person receiving it.

Christmas morning and the surrounding family events are the activities where memories are made that last a lifetime. Those special and fun times together that really pull the family together.

In addition to showing your loved ones your appreciate through gifts, it is also a time to say thanks to those in your life. For example, it is the only time of the year; I take a moment to give my mailman a small gift of thanks. What a great time of year that people stop and appreciate those around them.

So there is tons of emphasis placed on Christmas gift giving, as gifts are a great way to communicate how special those around you truly are. So everyone knows that when October rolls around, Christmas gift giving becoming a point of conversation. The stakes are high in the retail world. Already in October we are seeing Christmas gift packs coming out and decorations going up. The retailers are anxious (especially this year) for you to begin to feel the holiday season and unfortunately the holiday pressure.

The truth is with all the wonderful family memories that Christmas brings. Christmas gift giving can also bring a lot of stress. It does take work to find the best Christmas gift for each person on your list – a creative and personal gift the person will want.

You must put thought into each person. Then do time consuming research on the gift possibilities out there to meet the likes of each person. Even if you start the holiday season in your best Christmas spirit, it is easy to lose it in the stressors of the season.

Here are some suggestions to help you think about gifts for each person

Think about the person

What does the person talk about?

What are their current hobbies?

What are the activities, hobbies, trips that are on their someday wish list?

What are their fashion trends?

What causes are they passionate about?

Think Out of the Box

Have you considered

1. Family zoo pass

2. Tickets to a sporting event, opera, or Broadway show

3. Season pass to an amusement park

4. Weekend getaway package

5. Ride in hot air balloon

6. Day at the spa gift certificate

Shop Early

I have found the closer to Christmas the fewer smiles I see in the stores.

I like to shop early while people are excited about Christmas and the traffic

is manageable.

Shop Online

No traffic, no grumpy and rude people

Shop in your pajamas and fuzzy slippers if you want. It does not get

much easier than shopping from the comfort of your own home and

having the gift delivered to your doorstep.

Shopping online saves you time. And gives you back time to relax and spend

with the ones you love.

In an effort to help you enjoy the Christmas season with those you love and make your Christmas gift giving an enjoyable experience, I have put together a collection of hubs for different segments of your Christmas list. Through these insightful hubs, I have given you suggestions and point of considerations for the different people on your Christmas list.

I hope to lessen the stress on your life that this Christmas season can bring. And truly make your Christmas gift giving a wonderful experience.
