Choti Bahu is one of the several hindi serials that come on ZEE TV. I can't believe that I long to watch Choti Bahu. with my first morning cup of tea...I need to play Choti Bahu on youtube.com. when I tell my friends in India that I watch a melodramatic serial on Zee TV..they can't help laughing....on chat I receive all funny icons showing their disapproval of watching it. But, I don't think anything can convince me not to watch Choti Bahu. It's truly an addiction...I swear a very melodramatic addiction. As any other serials on Indian Channels...Choti Bahu is also dragging and all unpleasant things happen to the protagonist..Radhika..as usual a woman. All the indian serials are focussed on emphasizing the role of a "conventional wife and daughter-in-life"...and this serial does it too. Over here my counterparts who leave their comments on youtube.com vent out their bitterness..but we still watch it.
Here is the summary of the plot line: An orphan (Radhika) born and brought up by a Priest family in Mathura (one of the holy places for Hindus) does all the impossible things on earth so that she can never hurt the people who brought her up. She gets married to a rich goodlooking guy ..Dev...who stays in delhi, but her elder sister insists on going to the husband's house as his wife and can't believe it..she lets her sister go. Everyone knows her sister to be the wife of this guy and this husband is also baffled. Dev think this marriage is a mistake arranged by his parents and he didn't get married to his love Radhika....Every time I watch it..I expect some bold steps taken by Radhika..but as the director wants..it's the same old efforts to make a woman know her helplessness in a male dominated society. Though things have changed and Indian women have changed too, but Indian TV still stuck with Radhika. What impact these serials has on the minds of people..I think people are lying when they say they are watching it for entertainment...Not few...but many indian households still want their wife and daughter-in-law as a perfect fit that could be identified with one of Zee or sony TV serials female characters!
I was surprised to see the number of clicks a Choti Bahu clip has on Youtube.com! And the comments are the best part..I love it.

Any idea if I could watch the whole series till the end? Its getting too long and tiring. Dev is good looking but helpless and Radhika needs a slap... so annoying.

That 'radhika' character is sooo stupid and double faced! She has no problem romancing Dev, but can't marry him. Somebody should give a tight slap on her face.
I watch this serial on youtube and keep forwarding the slow and annoying moments.

i am a fan of this serial chotti bahu so this is my responsibility to tell the dev that what type of people around him, dev u r modern and practical but u not know the very public secret about urself about ur marriage, there are lots of videos available in the internet plz check it up u will have lots proofs also i like u and radhika but it seems radhika is only dutiful to her father's family and now for tony and diya singh because i know only these names if u people going to make serials like this then it is our responsibility to tell everything
