Melchizedek - Our Prosperous Christian Priesthood

Melchizedek
Dr. Kluane Spake
Right from the start, God's purpose was to build His Kingdom on the earth with humans. In fact, He gave us the order to rule (Gen. 1:26). Truly, He had decided that this Kingdom was ours even before he made the earth...
The resurrection and the cross lets us go back to that first Garden mandate. Jesus allowed it to happen because he gave us His priesthood. Hebrews says that the "priesthood changed" (Heb. 7:12)! Many modern churches may be surprised by this, but in fact, we don't exist under the old Levitical order of things any more! Jesus intended us to have a Melchizedek Priesthood - one charged with the power of eternal life.
Our Melchizedek rule is fully expressed in us as we understand more and more.
We can be KINGS OF PROSPERITY
Melchizedek was a King. Greek as a language is abstract, but Hebrew's words are full of the nitty-gritty of daily life. They embrace ideas that can be applied here and now, to what life really means.
When broken down, the Hebrew word Melchizedek (Gen. 7:1) is comprised of two parts. The first, melch, means "king." A King rules over his kingdom, or a jurisdiction or dominion.
If we are under Melchizedek, we then asked the question, WHERE do WE RULE? WHAT do we rule over? Melchizedek's rule was of a specific KINGDOM of tsedek (or the second half of his name). Most of the time when translated, tsedek, (tsdeq, zedeq) approximates either "RIGHTEOUSNESS" or "JUSTICE." However, if we did further, we see that there's much more meaning to it.
Tsedeq comes from a Semitic word meaning to be firm, straight, "like steel," a determined integrity that goes to one's core. In Arabic, this means that one is fully developed, balanced and mature.
Although tsedeq is often translated to mean "judgment," this does not mean evil retribution or a legal kind of judgment. Believers can take heart because God's Tsedeq (justice and righteousness) also incorporates RIGHT LIVING, equity, bounty, health and prosperity.
Stated most clearly, the literal of tsedeq means that one is to rule and live a LIFE of full PROSPERITY and BALANCE.
Tsedeq is the energy that brings all things into right alignment, into the created order. Thus, Melchizedek means that one totally rules over prosperity (wholeness, fullness and finances), which in turn balances the world.
If one is to have real Melchizedek PROSPERITY, it must be demonstrated and taught. It does not mean a poverty of spirit with religious justification. This causes the Church to be all the more self-involved and focused on problems.
Tsedeq as prosperity, balance, health, maturity and right living, is our domain and must become so. This is the land we rule. If the method of our authority and rule is not firmly rooted in tsedeq, we have not fully entered our dominion.
Ten
God looks into all of Creation to find tsedeq (Ps 96:11). Think about that for a minute. The LORD God told Abraham, "Find me 10 righteous (tsedeq), and I will rescue Sodom." However, not even 10 in Sodom were living their lives as fully balanced and mature beings. Not 10 in the whole city truly understood that prosperity at home this could be theirs. The question is, are there ten in our cities today?
Friends, Melchizedek does not come from us. Jesus, gives us his priesthood, which in turn allows us to rule a prosperous and balanced dominion. This is how we influence the world with our rule and how we can influence the world globally. This is our sign of strength -- and how we can effectively move to occupy territories.
As we RULE the earth in prosperity and balance, we mandate heaven's rule. God's KINGDOM is made on earth as we step into it.
- God said that humans should rule the earth.
- Jesus became our righteousness and returned us to what God intended us to be.
- We awaken that skill to rule with tsedeq (prosperity, balance and maturity) with our faith.
- God's Kingdom is within us and expands according to the amount of rule we are given.
- Jesus waits in heaven until all things are restored (rule of dominion).
- As His Kingdom rule commences on earth, His return will come more quickly.

- The Force of Thanksgiving - Dr. Kluane Spake
Thankfullness is a much underrated FORCE for believers. It is the MISSING LINK. Thanksgiving is the power cord to finding contentment! It is the avenue to our peace. When we TRUST God, we can be truly thankful. Godly thanksgiving give us immunity to depression, worry, envy, anger, and resentment. It heals our sorrows and disappointments. - 4 days ago
- More Thoughts on Tithing and “Tithing UP!”
But, New Testament giving should not be out of "legalism" or "obligation." Nor should our giving be because of reward, or given out of fear of Divine retribution. Tithing should not be to "open the windows of heaven." Those windows are now open and never shut. - 4 weeks ago
- OUR 95 Theses
Dr. Kluane Spake writes On October 31, out of love for the truth, the Priest and Reverend Father Martin Luther, Master of Arts and Sacred Theology, and lecturer at Wittenberg, nailed his 95 Thesis (Theses) upon the door of the Wittenburg church. These statements stood against the current trends of the church and pronounced truths. The church of today has greatly benefited from Martin Luther's efforts. - 5 weeks ago

Melchizedek is JESUS CHRIST... from a Mormon perspective and belief - the Man who Abraham paid his tithes to was referred to as "Melchizedek... more as a title that represented "Authority" given to someone by Jehovah Himself to then act in HIS NAME.
Mormons claim the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood today, through a complete restoration of the ancient Christian Church of Jesus Christ... and have a fairly good understanding of how everyone, not just men - are blessed through this Priesthood, which is the Power of Jesus Christ unto the salvation of every living person, and throughout all eternity.
Very interesting thoughts you have brought up on your understanding of Melchizidek... who He is or what you believe that to be and most important form this Mormon woman's perspective - the authority regarding this priesthood and how it is accessed...
Of course I have a different understanding of this than you do:-)
MAIN POINT.... is how this authority is received by individuals and the blessings of Abraham that come through this righteous lineage of priesthood..

Thank you for submitting your perspective.
Early historical records show us that most of the Early Church believed Melchizedek to be Jesus Christ. Jesus did usher in that priesthood. He gave it to us as Christian believers. We recieve the fullness of this King-priest position - because Jesus already gave it to us.
Melchizedek is a huge topic that I will continue to addreses in future HUBs.
I will look forward to your insights as I too believe that the subject and topic of Priesthood and authority are quite intriguing and I enjoy an outside perspective especially from a women.
Women and Priesthood have quite the interesting history throughout the ages and I do believe that as time goes on, we will understand this relationship with better clarity. I am fascinated that you take this subject so seriously.... as I do as well.
The authority that Jesus Christ authorized through Peter, unfortunately can very easily be traced back and proven that there is no possible way that this authority which is absolutely necessary to have from Jesus Christ - could have or did survive... as there was complete apostasy.
Thus requiring a refreshing of times in these last days. IF the claim for Priesthood was to have existed... wherein did JC change the rules for "One" who is to be righteous then pass on this authority.
The authority that you speak of coming from Jesus Christ... was only given to the righteous, the faithful.... those that were not of this world... those that were given Him of the Father, etc....
The authority that you speak of -- was lost due to unworthy men -- who became corrupt and ultimately started to interpret the doctrine of Christ by way of "man" or Greek philosophies...
This is easily traced back from the latter apostolic Fathers to the true early christian apostolic Fathers (who had authority... up until about 60 - 70 AD)
No one who honestly understands the Melchizedek Priesthood of God, it's powers, rights and authorities to act in God's Name - God who is Righteousness - could then possibly believe that the Catholic church maintained that which Peter was endowed with for the Church.
The History wickedness of many of the "Pope's" who claim authority from Peter is simply blasphemous. Jesus Christ ordains those whom qualify and that He has chosen because of righteousness.... check out Abraham and his history with receiving what tis now known as "The Abrahamic Covenant", which can only be claimed by righteousness and given under authority from God to righteous individuals....
So... where have the actual keys of authority that were give to Peter and the disciples gone.... if it is impossible to claim succession due to corrupt POPES along the way?

Awesome insights!
Melchisedek is Jesus Christ. Abram became Abraham and Sarai became Sarah only after they covenanted with Melchisedek. Jesus sprang from Juda; in other words He being God removed the "h" from the spelling. This is why Jesus said we must be born again of the Holy Spirit to see the kingdom of heaven. Mormons claim this priesthood but most are given Patriarchal blessings of descent from Dan (genealogy of Joseph Smith) or Ephraim (Most) or Manasseh. The Christian Church is thus Ekklesia or Separated by the Holy Ghost from all others; the Holy Ghost is Melchisedek.(ref 1 John 5:7) Father, Word, Holy Ghost are one.

Wow! Quite a revelation about a word that is so often passed over without thought of its deep meaning and mandate.
