The Way We Should SEE Life

by Dr. Kluane Spake

Most believers live lives of barely hanging on! For many, being a conqueror is only a song... being an overcomer is just mental assent.

But... Christianity is supposed to be all about LIFE! While millions of believers go around dying to themselves, the Scriptures are clear. Jesus died to bring us LIFE -- in this world as well as in the one to come.

Living LIFE means we have a different perspective about everything. We look at problems through the eyes of our spiritual nature. Problems become Divine opportunities when we wash our eyes with the eye salve of the Kingdom (Rev. 3:18). Correct Kingdom vision means that we see ourselves as already citizens of heaven (Ph. 3:20). That means we have singular vision toward the intention of God.

Being Single Eyed

The Lord told Moses to "COME UP unto the Lord" (Ex. 24:1). Once again, God told Moses to "COME UP" alone to the mountain top alone (Ex. 19:1-23, Ex. 34:2). The voice told John the Revelator, "Come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter (Rev. 4:1). We are to sit in heavenly places - because from there we can SEE differently.

This ascended life means we have a new mind set, a perspective on the circumstances of our lives. Romans tells us that we are to "rise to the newness of life." And each one of us are invited to "come up" to where the Lord resides. We are to be seated far above in heavenly places together with Christ.

Coming up brings us revelatory awareness. We approach problems from a new vantage point.

When coming to the edge of the Promised Land, Israel saw unconquerable giants. Their fear of those giants caused them to feel like grasshoppers (Nb. 13:31-33). Because of the way they saw things, that was their reality. "So we were in their sight."

The way we perceive our situations becomes our reality.!

Later, when Caleb had another chance, he didn't fear those giants. He said, "They are bread for us" (Nb. 14:9). Caleb had "another spirit." He looked at things from a victorious vantage point.

Scripture tells us that God has already given us a "new heaven and earth" (Rev. 21) and yet our vision remains limited. What does it take to raise our eye and SEE into the heavens? Can we, like Jacob, awaken to the new day and the incontrovertible assurance that we have encountered God face to face (Peniel, Gen 32:30)? For surely, the Lord has already delivered our unfathomable inheritance! Our ascended vision re-awakens us to the genuineness of God's eternal presence.

Single-eyedness (haplotes) is the ability to have clear focus of your attentions, attitudes, affections, and heart. It causes us to distinguish certain feelings, values, ideas, etc. Single-eyedness is the chooser of the desired response or value judgment. Proper haplotes brings about the WHOLENESS that demonstrates we've been born of another realm. Focus enables us to find solutions and answers. What we think about = our focus = our single vision = treasure = individual perception that creates our future.

SINGLE -EYEDNESS is the potent force of walking in the spirit.

Dove's Eyes

The Bride is called a "Dove" (SOS 2:14). She is also described as having "dove's eyes" (SOS 1:15). A dove (also called a Love Bird) has a binocular visual field, but is able to only put attention on one thing at a time. The Holy Spirit appeared as a Dove! (Matt. 3:16)

You have stolen my heart... with ONE GLANCE OF YOUR EYES... Turn away thine EYES from me, for they have overcome (emboldened, captivated, taken me by storm, and elated) me (SOS 4:9, 6:5).

Because the Shulamite had a single eye toward her Lover, He put her in the clefts of the rock, in the secret (places) of the stairs. Stairs (like the LADDER) are means of ascending. These stairs were hidden (secret) until the Lover brought her to them. They were only visible because of her "single eye.' They led to the Bridal chamber, and intimate (koininea) communion and fellowship. Singleness of perception allows us to find the stairs that ascend to our Lover.

Let your eye be single," that your "whole body may be full of light! (Lk. 11:34)

  • The Force of Thanksgiving - Dr. Kluane Spake

Thankfullness is a much underrated FORCE for believers. It is the MISSING LINK. Thanksgiving is the power cord to finding contentment! It is the avenue to our peace. When we TRUST God, we can be truly thankful. Godly thanksgiving give us immunity to depression, worry, envy, anger, and resentment. It heals our sorrows and disappointments. - 5 days ago

  • More Thoughts on Tithing and “Tithing UP!”

But, New Testament giving should not be out of "legalism" or "obligation." Nor should our giving be because of reward, or given out of fear of Divine retribution. Tithing should not be to "open the windows of heaven." Those windows are now open and never shut. - 4 weeks ago

  • OUR 95 Theses

Dr. Kluane Spake writes On October 31, out of love for the truth, the Priest and Reverend Father Martin Luther, Master of Arts and Sacred Theology, and lecturer at Wittenberg, nailed his 95 Thesis (Theses) upon the door of the Wittenburg church. These statements stood against the current trends of the church and pronounced truths. The church of today has greatly benefited from Martin Luther's efforts. - 6 weeks ago
