I just love relaxing on the couch with my family during the Christmas season to watch Christmas movies together. It is one of our favorite activities to sip hot chocolate, sit by the tree, and enjoy a good Christmas movie.  I would like to share a few of our favorite movies that you might consider watching with your family.

A Christmas Story

This Christmas story of a little boy who wanted a red ride bb gun is a great family fun filled movie. This movie is a great reminder for all of us of childhood Christmas memories . I triple dog dare you to watch it with your family.

Whether you love the original 26 min 1966 television version of Dr. Seuss' popular book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! or the movie rendition featuring Jim Carrey you really enjoy the humor and Christmas cheer filling this movie. The Grinch tries to take Christmas away from Who-ville. In the process, he discovers that maybe Christmas means a bit more than presents. Discover the Christmas secret for yourself.

The magical updated version of this movie takes place in New York. Featuring a little six year old girl who does not believe in Santa. Her beliefs begin to change a bit when she meets a department store Santa. This department store Santa is convinced he is the real deal. So the family is on an adventure as Santa is taken to court and the characters in the movie question their belief in Santa. It is a heart warming Christmas story of hope.

A true must see for the Christmas is Charlie Brown's Christmas.  Many of you, I am sure, watched this television special as you were growing up.  And many of us have shared this Christmas memory with our children.  Talk about a fun tradition!

Just in case you have not seen it, I will tell you a bit about the story. In classic Charlie Brown style, Charlie Brown finds himself a bit depressed at Christmas time.  He is tired and annoyed by all the hype, so he starts out to find the true meaning of Christmas.  And of course, he enlists the help of his Peanuts gang. When you watch this show you will understand where the term ‘Charlie Brown Christmas Tree’ originated.

This movie is one of my all time favorites. The main character, George, grew up in a small town. He dreamed of travel and adventure but every time he was ready to leave the small town circumstances kept him there. His frustrations with the disappointments of life escalate through the movie. With an emerging situation leaving him hopeless and desperate, George considers taking his life on Christmas Eve. It is at this point in the movie that George meets Clarence his guardian angel. Clarence and George flashback to see the importance of George's life. With this new perspective, George realizes the value of people around you who truly care.

Hilarious Christmas movie to fill your family room with holiday cheer and laughter! You will find entertain at all levels in this movie. From ravenous squirrels to hyper speed sledding this movie has it all including a great holiday message.
