It's that time of year again. The kids are back in school. Fall is in the air and the stores are all stocked with candy for Halloween. You may be thinking, "Christmas! I don't want to think about it!" but, this is the perfect time to start planning for a Party. Are you up for throwing a party this year?

The Christmas Blues

So many people are getting tired of the Christmas Season and that's a sad commentary on our over stimulated society. Christmas can be such a wonderful time of the year. A time to connect and reconnect with family and friends. One suggestion is to take the materialism out of it. Thinking about all of the ways we can give and receive without spending a lot of money is a good start. What better way to give and receive than throwing a good party?

Reinventing the Christmas Party

Start early with a good plan. Just sit down and write a list of your best Christmas Party ideas. How many great partys have you attended? How many have you thrown? Start by making a list of all the things that went really well. Then make a second list of all the disasters you have seen, heard of or been a party to. You might even think about movies like, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, for some ideas. It's always good for a laugh but also holds some valuable lessons on what not to do! Now you have the makings of a plan with many things you will want to include and mistakes you will make sure don't happen.

Christmas Party Decoration Ideas

I love Christmas and I get that honestly. Come November my mother always pulled out her ox of decorations and the house was in full spirit through the New Year! Throwing a Christmas Party really doesn't need to be a stress induced event. In fact if it is don't do it! Seriously, if you make decorating your home for Christmas a family affair it can be a lot of fun. Plus it's one less thing to do when it comes to party time.
