Christmas at Disney World

A visit to Disney world in Florida is a fantastic experience for children of all ages, the magic comes alive right in front of your eyes and you will have a thousand wonderful memories that will last you for the rest of your life.

But a visit to Disney world in Florida at Christmas time is an experience that will take your breath away.

Disney pull out the big guns at Christmas making it so very special for everyone young or old, the experience makes the inner child in you come out, making you want to hang up your stocking on the fireplace and believing that Santa Claus is real.

From morning till night the spirit of Christmas is around every corner, people have constant smiles on their faces only broken with looks of stunned amazement, as another spectacular surprise is unleashed.

Cinderella's castle

Cinderella's castle is a spectacular sight at any time of the year, but at Christmas when it is covered in icicles it is one of the most beautiful things that you will ever see in your entire lifetime, and at night time when it is all lit up and the fireworks display is in full swing, you feel privileged and honoured to have been a part of it, there is a stunned silence and a look of wonder and complete amazement in the eyes of every single person who is there, they have all witnessed something very special and they know it.

Ask them later to describe the experience and they would never find the words that could ever explain just how special this moment was.

The Parade

The Magic kingdom just wouldn't be the Magic Kingdom without the famous parades, at Christmas the parade quite obviously takes on a Christmas theme,

You will see Snowmen, Gingerbread men, Elves, Wooden Soldiers and of course all of the favourite Disney characters are there in their Christmas costumes. Santa Claus himself is the Grand finale of the parade, wishing everyone a merry Christmas with a Ho, Ho, Ho and a spirited wave.

Mainstreet

The magic of Disney is everywhere, they even make it snow on Main Street, Santa is there to meet and greet everyone, and carollers singing Christmas songs, warm your heart. The Disney characters in their festive costumes are also on hand ensuring not a second of your day is wasted.

The Rides and Attractions

Most attractions are open and available during the party. If crowds are heavy, try to plan to hit the more popular attractions during the fireworks and parades.

From the moment you walk into the Magic Kingdom, you feel that there is something very special in the air, and you won't be let down, this is Christmas as it should be celebrated all over the world, everyone is happy and cheerful and everyone is everyone else's friend for a day, it is like being a part of the largest family in the world, sharing a special time together. I would recommend a Christmas at Disney world to everyone.

There are a lot more surprises to be had but I don't want to spoil it for you.

If I had to give it points out of ten I would have to give it a 20 because Disney put in 200% effort to make your Christmas the best ever.

Disneyland was great when I was there in the '70's when my daughter worked there (near the Castle.) I can see from your hub that it's still great fun. Your pictures and the video are great, too.

Bella and I visited Disney World with our two youngest sons who, despite their ages - 18 and 20 - had a great time and really enjoyed it as we did as well. I can imagine Christmas there, it must be great. Great hub and great pictures.

I spent Christmas 2002 and New Years 2003 at WDW, and it was packed with people! It was nice, though. Would have been nicer if I'd been spending it with someone else, though, lol. ;)

We watched the "Gingerbread Jimmi" 3 Min animated movie short at the Sundance Film Festival. We thought the project was very fresh and wholesome. We were not sure what studio was responsible but it should be coming out soon.

PS....The Gingerbread Jimmi - Storybook is really great! Try to get a first edition they will be worth a lot someday! Trust me... we bought one right then and there!
