Children around the world are starting to make Christmas wishes. Some wish for a shiny new red bicycle. Others wish for that new baby doll that crawls, cries and wets. Still others wish for the coolest new video games.

But in Michigan, one little boy's Christmas wish is very simple — He just wants Christmas cards from people, and as many of them as possible.

Before he dies.

The little boy is Noah Biorkman, and he has an aggressive and terminal form of pediatric cancer. He seems to understand on some level what that means. When asked what he wanted for Christmas, which the family is celebrating with him now, he said he wanted Christmas cards.

As of now, Noah has gotten Christmas cards from all over the world.

Noah is on methadone for pain, and has frequent nosebleeds. Sometimes they are so bad they can't stop the bleeding and have to rush him to the hospital, and his platelet count drops from normal ranges of 150-300 to FIVE. Noah has been fighting his cancer for two and 1/2 years. It went briefly into remission in 2008 but it has returned now with a vengeance, and he has no hope for recovery. As he receives treatment in the hospital, he talks about looking forward to getting back home to read more Christmas cards from his new friends around the world. His parents cuddle with him and read every single one to him.
