Christmas is my favorite holiday so I am always running around like crazy getting ready for the decorations, gifts and the lights outside. Yes I am the crazy person hauling out my Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving even though I know it will be up until the new year because it will then become the New Years tree.

If I could pick just one special time of year I would have to pick Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful time of year for me and my family. Every year we have a big Christmas dinner. Our tradition is to get together over a steaming hot turkey, usually smoked with mashed potatoes homemade turkey gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing or dressing, cranberry sauce, buttered corn, can't forget the green bean casserole and dinner rolls. Later once we all have gotten our second wind we would have every kind of pie you could imagine with cool whip or not that is the question.

Every year I pick a new theme color for my Christmas decorations all the way down to my computer desk top. I leave no area undecorated. Last year was blue a few different shades of blue. I have picked lime green and red this year so I am trying to decide what I will decorate my desk top with this year. I have so many ideas I do not know where to start. I thought I would go ahead and add my ideas here for anyone else to use as they wish.

I am excited about the holidays this year as we always have a lot of fun for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite of all the holidays. I love to make new pictures every year. I take a ton of pictures of the family and friends too. Camera shy people eventually give in at my house because you just never know when you will get a picture of someone you may never get the chance to see again. That has actually happened to me twice in my life I have taken a picture of two people who passed away soon there after and I was the one to print the last picture ever taken of them.

If you are camera shy I want to encourage you to think differently about getting your picture taken. For the people around you who love you dearly it could become more than just a special holiday memory it could be the last picture someone ever gets to have of you. What you wear or how your hair looks is not really very important when you consider that the people who love you just want to see and remember you the way they love you best which is just simply you.
