Chrysler gas card

Chrysler Offers Gas Cards as incentive for new car buyers so they pay only $2.99 a gallon for three years.
Customers can enroll in the "Let's Refuel America" program and receive a gas card that immediately lowers their gas price.
When buyers fill up, their credit cards will be charged $2.99 a gallon, and a third-party vendor will compute the difference and bill Chrysler. With the spiralling gas prices, this might help to save money on gas.
However, there is a catch. If you select the gas card promotion, you will have to give up all other rebates and incentives, so be sure to check out the current available incentives and compare it to the value of the gascard offer.
This offer expires June 2 and the card is good for purchases of 87-octane regular gasoline, E85 gas-ethanol blend or diesel fuel.
Chrysler is the third-largest U.S. auto manufacturer and its struggling with an 18 percent sales slide in 2008. The Chrysler gas card might act as an incentive which it hopes will spur lagging sales.
In addition to the discount gas, some vehicles also carry a cash rebate of $500 to $3,000 said North American sales chief Steve Landry.
Buyers would be eligible for an annual allocation of fuel based on the estimated consumption for 12,000 miles of driving, which varies by vehicle, Chrysler said.
Consumers would be able to keep making discounted fuel purchases should they sell the vehicle before the three years are up, the automaker said.
Considering the volatility of fuel prices and vehicle cost of ownership the "Let's Refuel America" program" will help to put customers' minds at ease said Chrysler President Jim Press.
Chrysler currently offers six models that get better than 28 miles-per-gallon on the highway: Chrysler Sebring, Chrysler Sebring Convertible, Dodge Avenger, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot and Dodge Caliber.
This excludes Sprinter commercial trucks and high-performance models such as the Challenger and Viper sports cars.
