Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

Lets face it everyone has a chicken and dumpling recipe but my recipe is one

of best you can ask my family, friendsbut wait you don't know them. I promise

you will have people begging you to make this recipe! My children love it! Ok

lets get started.

Ingredients Needed (Feeds 4-5)

  • 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 bag baby carrots (use as many as you want)

  • 1/2 onion chopped (I use the vidala) (optional)

  • 3 stalks celery chopped

  • 4-5 white potatoes

  • Jiffy Bisquit Mix

  • 2 cups Milk (or half and half)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Pepper (to taste)

  • chopped garlic (or garlic powder)

  • 2 chicken boullion

  • 6 cups of water (enough to cover chicken)

In a large pan place cover chicken breast with water, add boullion,

garlic, salt and pepper to taste, celery, onion and carrots. Let

chicken boil for about 30 and add potatoes cook until potatoes and

chicken falls apart. Add Milk, some more salt and pepper. Mix Jiffy

Mix (drop dumplings) depending on how many you want I usually start

with 2 cups. Follow the recipe on the box. Drop the dumpling mix by

the Tablespoonfuls into the boiling pot (You can usually make 5 or 6 at a

time salt and pepper. Cover. Turn down burner. Let boil for about 3

minutes and turn dumplings (use slotted spoon( over and let boil another

2 minutes, when dumpling is dry inside they are done. The more dumplings

you make the thicker the chicken and dumplings will be which makes for a

delicious family dinner on a cold or rainy day or anytime! Enjoy!
