Citrus Champagne Punch

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups (310 ml) water
  • grated rind and juice of 1 orange and 1 lemon
  • 1 ½ cups (375 ml) grapefruit juice
  • 1 ½ cups (375 ml) pineapple juice
  • 6 cups (1.5 L) ginger ale
  • 1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine
  • ice cubes
  • orange and lemon slices

Procedure :

  1. Dissolve sugar and water in saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add grated rind of orange and lemon and allow to cool.
  3. Combine fruit juices and syrup and chill.

Before serving, add chilled ginger ale, champagne, ice cubes and fruit slices. Make 20 glasses
