Citrus Champagne Punch

Ingredients :
- 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
- 1 ¼ cups (310 ml) water
- grated rind and juice of 1 orange and 1 lemon
- 1 ½ cups (375 ml) grapefruit juice
- 1 ½ cups (375 ml) pineapple juice
- 6 cups (1.5 L) ginger ale
- 1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine
- ice cubes
- orange and lemon slices
Procedure :
- Dissolve sugar and water in saucepan over medium heat.
- Add grated rind of orange and lemon and allow to cool.
- Combine fruit juices and syrup and chill.
Before serving, add chilled ginger ale, champagne, ice cubes and fruit slices. Make 20 glasses
