Clark Synthesis TST209 Transducer

Review of the Clark Synthesis TST209 Transducer

The Clark Synthesis TST209 Tactile Transducer was the next item of audio fascination that I have had the joy of reviewing. It was purchased from the nice guys at www.Hifi-Alternative.com for a mere $95! I don't know of any place on the internet where anyone can buy a brand new Clark transducer for under $100! The item arrived in about 5 days and I installed the unit on my Ikea Klippan couch in about 45 minutes. I had previously purchased a Dayton APA150 Amplifier from AlternativeDVD.com an Aura Bass Shaker transducer. Although, compared to the Clark Synthesis unit the Aura feels like a cheap toy. I bolted the Clark at the bottom of my couch and used the crossover in my NAD receiver. I could now feel impact and fill explosions and doors slamming in horror films. I highly recommend the Clark Synthesis TST209 and the price is great from Hifi-Alternative.com and I think there are some on Ebay as well.

Buy Here!

Update: As of today, I see that HiFi-Alternative.com is selling a double pack for $194.99 on Ebay These are brand new, unopened, factory fresh units for under $200 for a pair. Ultimately, I want to wire my couch with 2 Clark TST209 Transducers, crossed over at 80 hertz, and then a single unit in each Ikea chair. This way I would have over 1000 pounds of force per watt in my setup for less than $400 for all 4 transducers. - Gentle Listening
