Upon seeing a member of the socialist party at a urinal in the men's room, Mr. Churchill selects a urinal at the far end. As they were washing their hands, the socialist said, "I know we don't share the same ideology, sir, but you needn't have gone all the way down there."
"Nonsense," said Winston Churchill. "Everytime you socialists see something big you want to nationalize it."

Nice to see you out croaking to night. When I saw that picture, I knew I had to have it.
Tom, Nice to meet you,..nice joke, I was keeping it clean.
Keep on hubbing.
My favorite "insult" was Billy Wilder's "He has Van Gogh's ear for music", and Winston Churchill's comebacks were funny. Never heard of these insults being recorded in history. hehe.
Entertaining hub!
As a big fun of quotes in general, these are among the best! Thanks for collecting them for our amusement!
VioletSuna and Chris, Thanks for both hubbing by.
I found the wit remarks and loved them. At my work place, wit is not discouraged, but graded. We have fun. I just had to throw the one in on Obama.
I think that he has not displayed one ounce of humor over the last year. In personal life, he is probably an alright guy, but the image they have him betraying is humorless. I can't wait until he gets broken in and it is okayed that comics and the media can kidding around with him. I love cartoon pages of political leaders. Keep on Hubbing!
I had a blast with this one. I`m going to bookmark this one because I have a terrible memory and I want to remember some of those... I may need them on some occasion LOL.
Thanks for the chuckles, big thumb up ;)
Funride, I am glad you enjoyed these.
Keep on Hubbing!
I think Hemingway won the argument. Good quotes, eovery are always fun to read. Is that your avatar or a photo? LOL
WFT, Thanks for hubbing by,
I had a bad hair day, and took a picture of myself. Actually I saw this image one day, and I knew I had to use it as my avator. Someone photoshopped it pretty good.
Keep on Hubbing!
Great hub! It's easy to be insulting, but to do it intelligently, with a bit of humor, is an artform, and appreciated by all - even the insultee.
Amen,
Thanks for hubbing over, CW,
Keep on Hubbing!
